Well, according to the history "Sphinx (Social Club - Coragno) 1460930532" first ID in red, it seems the hat is duped since 2013, just a couple of months after being uncrated and way before the last suggestion being accepted

Sphinx was the hijacked user which led to the dupe, so anything after the first occurrence of his name in the history is a dupe.

His first time owning it actually doesn't show up on the backpack.tf history, but is shown here: http://www.tf2outpost.com/item/440,1460930532,53,5

The first person on the backpack.tf history is "pipe okays", and as you can see from the outpost history, Sphinx owned it before him, so it is safe to assume the duping occurred well over 2 YEARS ago. (at minimum, March 2013)

A few things for clarification.

(1) The duped hat was used as proof in the last suggestion because the last suggestion was increasing its value. We allow suggestions increasing the value (conservatively) based on duped sales but not decreases. It's just not fair to clean owners to drop a hat based on a duped sale.

(2) http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25742177 - was immediately offered 70 keys. 60 flat is probably a bit low for the duped version too.

I'll add this to my duped hats thread where I collect sales for duped hats for people to use as minis in suggestions. But unfortunately, just can't use these sales to officially set prices.

I'm a trophy belt collector, and I'll be keeping an eye out for sales, but I'm 99% sure that the clean versions of this hat aren't leaving the backpacks they are in.

I thought there was a condition where if the only hats present on the market are dupes, it can be used as the singular price.

If any of the clean versions come back on the market, I would start a new suggestion based on clean sales.

I've also since discovered the second sale that I posted about in the comments, had the overpay done incorrectly, the overpay should of been applied to the Trophy Belt side of the sale, making the Trophy Belt at ~80 keys. In the interest of accuracy, I could resuggest with a range of 60-80 keys, resolving the issue of a 70 key offer outside of the range.

The condition is that if all in existence are duped, it's okay to price off dupes. Think about it. If you owned a clean one and intended to keep it, how pissed would you be if someone dropped it off the dupe. We shouldn't punish people because they want to keep a hat.
