Only way to price it is busting it down.
Offers seem to correlate around this price, oddly enough.
Also, my mind is so blank--I can't even think of quotes at the moment.

Imo. I think it looks kinda bad trying to price a hat you offer for
Actually, I had no plans to buying this hat until last night, when I was offered a Death at Dusk HKC.
I'm looking for a hat to pretty much end-game and I forgot I even did this suggestion again.
Alright. Well I think this range look ok tbh. But yeah. some more proof would be great.
I also can't undestand why he didn't take the DaD Cone + 80 keys offer. Since its not much of an upgrade
310 * 0.9 = 279 + 80 = 359. Close to 1:1.
Eh. Generally pricing things using sales where the item being priced is a relatively small part is frowned upon. Considering the cone is making up ~1/3 of the value I don't think this will work.
I would look at the Molten Mallard K.E.
Other issue here is that the pan has a +/-100 key margin meaning the cone could also be +/-100 keys in this trade.
You take it for the median price. You do that with all ranges.
I think you missed the point of my comment. The mallard k.e for beams woodsman example you provided has the woodsman at a flat price whereas the Golden pan has a +/- 100 key margin meaning the effective value of the hong kong cone is uncertain by 100 keys in either direction as well.
Also, 60% is quite a bit more of the trade than 1/3
I didn't miss the point. I pointed out that I used an item to take it down, especially since that item was offered on for the Pan.
I reckon a golden pan mini might be smartest here.
Pan is up to date but has a fairly wide range for pricing something "worth" 370 keys. Given the margin on the pan that 370 could be 270 or 470.
My reasoning for the mini is just to remove any doubt on the Pan's value - whilst it's fairly updated, its last drop was rather sharp (~400 keys)
I understand your point though, it's just a possible solution :P
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25840191 - Already has a 1000 key confirmed c/o. 1,150 collection c/or.
Pan might be 1000-1200 now actually. Which would influence the cones value by 100 yes, but, the trade happened 2 months ago before the pan price was recently updated, so the suggested price for the pan is as close as you can get.
But I still dislike using it as the only kind of proof. At least point your offers around that range out.

- Offer of a Death at Dusk Cone + 80 Keys (360ish after overpay)
- Offer of a Scorching Baker Boy + 300 Keys (390ish after overpay)
Seems accurate to me. It only has been littered with lowballs otherwise and the buyers seemed to be the one retracting.
Baker Boy offer is invalid. Dusk one is okish.
Higher tier items shouldn't be used to price lower tier ones. As Woifi indicated, pan could be off by 100 keys which doesn't matter much on the pan but 100 keys makes a huge difference for this hat. You'll need to wait for another sale.
