Just in case the mentally challenged OP hasn't figured it out yet, you need sales to suggest a price for an Unusual. Logic isn't enough if it isn't supported by proof.

Unfortunately, the fact that you bought this hat for 12 keys pretty much counters the whole thing.

Most of the responses in this thread are incredibility rude or just say "manipulation" and deserve the dislikes. This really isn't the way anyone should be acting towards someone who doesn't seem to know how the suggestions system works, but I suppose being nice to people is hard.

I didn't say it was ok for him to not read the rules, but this seems to be the first mention of them, since everyone seems to favor calling the OP mentally challenged rather than pointing him in the right direction or helping in any way.

well yes calling people "mentally challenged" is not nice but we are so fed up with troll suggestions that it makes this look like a troll/manipulation suggestion

On top of that, if you're on this site in the first place you should have read the rules already anyway, without people needing to tell you.

It's the same old thing to the regulars, but not to the suggestors (basically, each person who messes up once gets the same response as if they messed up hundreds of times).

And the rules are not linked on the front page and the link to them on the suggestion page doesn't stand out much (although yes, it is near the suggestion button). Unless there's some popup for new members, it doesn't surprise me that someone wouldn't read the rules before making a suggestion. Not on purpose, but because they didn't even notice them.

Well you do have a point, I'll agree with that. The thing is, people who don't look for the rules first aren't really motivated to be good suggestors. That's why I try and tell new people anyway, because unlike people who just want free rep, I don't like seeing suggestions that are lacking.

However, if you would like, you can read about how to get good evidence at www.backpack.tf/rules and then suggest again once you have gathered sales of this hat. Since you bought it for 12 keys, the 12-14 key price range fits more than the 18-20 key range you are suggesting.

If you're making a first suggestion, I recommend you do it on a unique item.
