Gunboats are already one of the best soldier secondaries...

Gunboats are for rocket jumping with rocket launchers that inflict damage, hence why they reduce damage taken from rocket jumps.

Mantreads are used for rocket jumping with the rocket jumper because you don't need gunboats.

Mixing them is a pretty bad idea.

Although I can see how it would be useful to have the mantreads squashing abilities with the gunboats with a damage inflicting rocket launcher, but that would be OP.
