Are you just taking buyer's words for it in valuing key price? Pretty sure it was higher than $1.75/key
i always buy keys almost every month via paypal so i can confirm that was the key price back then
oh rip it sold to a scammer http://backpack.tf/item/333003522
yes burning tc sale
ah, that sucks :|
the scamer who it sold, i think Monkey told on someone outpost trade that red got banned yasturday so i dont know if ts problem but he wasent marked on april 1st.

Ref price at the time of the sale

The math i dunno how to do (° ʖ̯°)
Bp.tfs $ price for keys is inaccurate. You go with the $Value for Keys at the time of sale on outpost and similiar sites.
i just thought that since keys were 19 ref at the time and 1 ref was ~0.16$ that would maybe figure out the problem above
Eh. I was Selling plenty at 1.8 around the time of this sale. 215 sold total on the 31st of march and 1st of april. This suggestion using a sale from the same day used 1.85 as the key price: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/55447576b88d88d2218b4624
According to the trust that the seller has left, the time of the payment was at the end of march: http://puu.sh/iBaOD/fc034cc2a2.png

I happen to have a friend who managed to buy 582 keys @ 1.75 around the same time: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/33201-buying-keys-for-175/
Your friend actually didn't buy them all at 1.75. 100 of them came from me at $1.8 http://imgur.com/9YpMJ0h
It's really not that hard to see that the hat didn't leave strife's bp until the 1st of april: http://backpack.tf/item/333003522
He bought more than 500 keys, he was collecting to buy my ke for 2000 keys pure and 750 in unusuals. My point is he managed to buy that much of keys at 1.75 around the time of the payment i also pointed out that the trade happened on april 1st but the payment was before that.
The Trust you pointed to occurred on the 2nd of April: http://imgur.com/byjF0I5
Yes and the trade happened on April 1st so the payment was before that :)
Edit: i re-read strife's trust rating. It still indicates a payment on the 31st of march at the earliest
This is an accepted suggestion for another god tier using 1.75 per key around the same time aswell: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5516f928b98d8873378b46b1
More proof for 1.75 per key: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/33600-buying-tf2-keys-for-175-each/
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/33754-selling-keys-175-and-ref-09/
http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/8994-wts-keys-180175-usd-paypal/
Key price was 1.75 at that time,
proof http://backpack.tf/vote/id/5516f928b98d8873378b46b1
So we have proof that keys sold for 1.75 around the time of the sale and also 1.8$. Lets use 1.75-1.8$ then for the key price. 2000/1.775=1127 keys, rounding up to 1150. In the end it doesn't really matter if a god tier unusual like this is 50 keys higher or lower anyways.
Alright, ill try to fight for my unusual :)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25993303 -> frinto offered on a DUPED Sunbeams Noh Mercy ( which is lower than the clean one of course ) a clean Secret Viewfinder + 423 keys pure . 1100x0.9 + 423 = 990+423 = 1413. This seems to be a 100% legit offer . besides now its almost the end of June which makes it close to 3 month old sale . I got offered several times a lot lot higher offers than the price that you suggest , but i almost declined them all since i was not selling the Noh Mercy for a very long time and now i decided to sell it . Ill try to collect more evidence , however i cannot decline that this sale is legit enough according to tf2 backpack rules to make this price suggestion accepted . Still feels a bit low and i know a clean Sunbeams Noh Mercy can do a lot higher than this price . Ill try to collect as much evidence as possible .
Well frinto bought the viewfinder for like ~760 keys only and most people rejected his offers for a reason. Bp ruling is clear, suggestions based on sales, you can resuggest when you sell it for more anytime.
Also just for the record, this is the second time it sold for 2000$, strife purchased it for that as well a some months ago (outdated sale but yeah).

" 3 month old price, just bought one from Garry for 100 buds pure. "
O.O
That's not the sale. This is: http://puu.sh/c9y0c/d1c204f010.jp
Oh another sale. Anyway i dont pay that much attention to this since its very old , however the most recent sale to pp is like 3 month old. The way i look at it right now, this sale is quit old but its the only last avaliable sale we have for this Noh Mercy , so I guess ill damage my backpack value once again and upvote. It hurts to see such a rare unusual falling because of stupid quicksell cash sale , just hurts me. Upvoting .
