Needs a low end.

Could someone recommend me a decent gaming build for $400 or under?

. I recently spent about $1,800 to build my own, and everything is the best of the best. Never go with ibuypower or cyberpower, heard quite a lot of horror stories. Check out tom's hardware. The people on there really know what they are talking about., :)

What's wrong with Cyberpower? I'm considering them for my next gaming laptop.

*psst* If I were you, I'd go for MSI. Or I could help you for looking for a gaming laptop.

MSI doesn't really have the big "bang per buck". My current config at Cyber is netting me a GTX 980m + dual 320gb SSD's Raid 0 + 32gb RAM + Core i7 for around $2300. That's lightyears ahead of the prices on all other laptop sellers I've researched. MSI doesn't even go up to 32gb RAM I don't think.

Jesus Christ, what do you need 32GB of RAM for?

Put that with a GTX 980m, Raid 0 SSD's, and a laptop cooler in the basement, makes for a mean laptop on par with a desktop with a portability bonus :)

(and that I like to run some HPC applications on the side that take a ton of RAM + GPU power)

                Ah, okay then.

                For $2300 that's a STEAL.

                  Heck yeah! :)

Still open to any other options, though this is the first I've heard of bad things happening to Cyber products...

My brother has a prebuilt from Cyberpower (PSU and GPU upgraded and replaced stock cooler with Hyper 212 Plus iirc) and it runs well with no issues from the actual build.

Awesome, guess I'll stick with my Cyber config :)

It's all well if things go well, but if a part breaks, you're pretty screwed. Also, you don't save quite as much as when you build. I have a Nvidia 780, i7 4790k (4.0 ghz) and everything else top of the line including my monitor for only $1800. Also, if you're really into gaming, you need a desktop.

I'm only spending about ~$350-400 so I'm not expecting much. If I had the budget for a monster gaming rig, I would already have one :P

I'm probably gonna stick with an AMD APU build since even the HD 4600 is not enough for GTA 5.

check out /r/buildapc and /r/buildapcforme they'll help you out.

      That's... a seller

i am not when you are telling me youutbe :D

          Proof is sufficient, upvote.

Seems like it's really tough to sell for 0.33 ref. I think a range is okay here
