I wasn't gifted the hat. It was purchased by me, but someone else did get gifted it. I don't see why it should be considered "invalid" as there is an option to get the item rid of the "GIFTED" thing and the paint.

Oh that only gets rid of the paint. I really don't see whats wrong with a gifted hat.
