Why would it not be real? Unless there's some particular reason to think that, other than just not liking the suggester much, seems valid enough to me.

From the appearance of it and judging by the hat's history, that sale either never happened or was never tracked.

If you can find that the sale actually happened, fine.

The issue was the suggester's poor communication skills. He bought it from Punk Buster, and gave it to his friend demobitt. The hat is currently in demobitt's inventory under a new name.
