Why I would need to? By logic, you won't need low to 8 ref just because you found some 8 ref proof. I'm using 8.66 because it's more balanced. The current price is 9 ref if you lowered the price to 8 people would go insane. It's basic balancing.
the flaw isn't your logic, it's your proof :-) if no one is willing to sell at 8.66 currently, maybe your pricing is premature. still buyers as high as 8.33 but you don't mention that or provide proof of sales under 9 only 1 seller at 8.88 + 1 @ 8
With the 9 ref proof, I tried to prove that people won't sell higher then 9 Ref. But if you search more, I do believe you're going to find more buyers at 8 ref or more. And most of 9 ref proof it's because they want to sell backpack.tf price, and the current price is 9 ref.
if you're going to put 8.66 in your range, you have to prove that there are actually sellers at that price otherwise how is 8.66 part of the most common trading point?

By the logic. People won't going to accept lower then that. Think about it. People are trying to sell for 9 ref but they can't. If I could see the sold ones, I would have more proof.

i never said you need sales, i said you need sellers
If you can't find sales at 9 below, that means people are buying at 8.88 below.
why would that mean people are buying at 8.88 or below? do you have proof of that? and besides, you need proof of 8.66 if you want if you want to include it in your range
