Countering and fixing my range for real with the proof i didn't have before (i think this doesn't break the new 5% rule).

Buyers on Outpost

Sales

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26625695 ------- ~2.4 keys (2 keys + 6 ref), even with "poor" bumping (thanks to Teeny Tiny Cat)

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26696931 ------- ~2.4 keys (2 keys + 6 ref), probably sold more than one.

Summary

- Around 7 buyers for ~2.3 keys.

- At least two sales for ~2.4 keys (probably a lot more, but tracking bulk buyers/sellers is hard).

I'm basing this on the most common trading point, which seems fine looking at classifieds. That's why i keep 2.3 in range.

Criticism is appreciated!

With buyers at 2.3 why are you keeping it in the range? You shouldn't set a low-end using buyers, go with 2.4 flat

I know that, but the proof for 2.4 isn't solid for a common item like this, at least that's what i see.

Anyways, i will try to find more sales for 2.4 keys in the meantime and resuggest if needed.

2 sales are more than enough in my opinion.

With 171000+ in existence, two sales aren't probably enough.

17100 aren't available on the market though (market > how many exist)

Fair point, you are right. What i should have said is that there are more than 10 pages of sellers and buyers on outpost (many of them painted, but i think you get my point), plus another 10 pages on classifieds.

Anyways, my point is that 2.4 keys flat might not represent the whole market right now, and a range of 2.3-2.4 might be better based on the number of sellers/buyers/sales that i have found.

    sold mine bills for 3 keys : proof ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26649110 )

      thats painted and useless here

It's painted. Also, can you provide a screenshot of your Trade History so we know that you sold it at 3 keys?

But it's painted, so it's not valid for this suggestion. Only non-painted can be used as proof when increasing the price.

          Thanks anyway.

2.3 keys seems like a quicksell price due to how there are no sellers at that price and only a load of buyers

also, your change is only 4%, not 5%

You might have a point there, but with just two confirmed sales i don't think 2.4 flat can be safely suggested right now.

I'm thinking this more like key suggestions where there is a low end with a lot of buyers, and a high end with a lot of sellers. In other words, if you want to sell it right now it will be somewhat hard to find a buyer for 2.4, and if you want to buy it it will be somewhat hard to find a seller for 2.3, unless of course you wait enough time. Why? Because i don't think anybody will create a buying/selling thread for a price when there are a lot of sellers/buyers for that given price. As i said, i'm keeping 2.3 in range based on the most common trading point.

And about the percentage, it's between 4 and 5 and rule says it will be handled on a case by case basis. Bill's hat is often used as currency, so i think this should be considered.

this shouldn't be compared to key suggestions as keys are actually used as a currency (pure), bill's are not (pure)

Bill's Hat is used in a similar way to Earbuds, probably not used as much, but i think it's closer to a "currency item" than to a normal non-currency item. But my main point isn't that, the point is that the market is centered around 2.3 and 2.4 keys, with a lot of buyers and sellers on each end. There aren't sellers for 2.3 because of the amount of buyers for the same price. The same applies to 2.4 buyers, there aren't any "stable" buyers for that price because of the high amount of sellers for that said price. I think that's what Polar meant with "common trading point" when writing the non-unusual suggestion guide. If it's not, please correct me.

And that's it for now, time to sleep! I will be back in a few hours.

earbuds aren't a currency item anymore

My trade could be added to your buyers list.

            http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26680127 (2 keys + 5 ref)

Its been 3 days since starting and ive already bought 2 bill's hats, unfortunately they were both team painted.

Unrelated, i got the earbuds immediately

Oh, somehow i missed your trade, thanks for pointing it out!

http://i.imgur.com/DzxH7Nd.png Here is trade history that i sold for 3 keys! :)

Thank you very much, that's what i needed. Resuggesting now.
