Sale) Sold + Knifestorm Gibus (300) + Spec KS Gold BK Mk.I (~6) + S. Pro KS Amby (~6) + White Sky Captain (~1) + 380 Keys for a Golden Pan (1100)

http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198023759679?time=1438671600&compare=1438498800

1100 - 693 = 407 Keys

Rounding to 410 - to be the nearest 10, rather than 5

I'm counting the Pan as Pure, since it's priced at 1000 - 1200, and had a 1100 Pure sale

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26581165 --- Seller wanted a Gold Pan

Buyer had no trade, and likely offered on the Aviator.

Sale is too complicated to use imo.

If everything's in date and it doesn't seem like a total outlier compared to past sales, why not use it?

Items in a 2+:1 trade tend to have their value skewed towards the 1 item and any value extracted for one of the 2+ items is not going to be an accurate reflection of the the value of the item. Extraction is also an issue due to the application of overpay; do you apply it to just the 1 item or should the other 2+ items have it applied? Take this one for instance, we assume the Aviator was offered so no overpay should be applied on it as we assume overpay is already "included" in the offer... but shouldn't the Gibbus have overpay since it was offered on the pan? Really just brings in a mess of problems so its best to avoid these kind of sales unless you're pricing the 1 item.

I asked Polar on Forums and he said

"The only reason I'm willing to consider it is that the pan is clean and is a pure equivalent and a large amount of pure was added, so it's a fairly simple trade."

Edit: He also was overall unsure about it, so he said if I felt it was usable, to open this and get community feedback while he asked other Mods

Here is my entire comment: "I would probably avoid using that sale. If you truly believe it's a fair sale to use to capture its value, you are welcome to try the suggestion to gauge community opinion, and I'll ask other mods. The only reason I'm willing to consider it is that the pan is clean and is a pure equivalent and a large amount of pure was added, so it's a fairly simple trade.

But, I don't think it's really a fair trade to use to capture its value. It was probably offered on the pan, and the pan owner was probably looking for a solid overpay if not in pure. "

The other thing that I think helps this suggestion is that the pan owner didn't have an outpost trade at all. So it's possible that this wasn't offered on the pan but rather the pan was offered here. So maybe a huge amount of overpay wasn't expected.

This sale is way too complicated to use.

I'm not a big fan of using this sale, since its a 400 item with adds for an item worth 3 times as much. But as polar said, pan is basically pure, and only 1 other unusual was involved. So I'm kinda split there, the only reason why I am accepting this is because there are so many upvotes supporting this suggestion.
