I believe this is a good idea as this will help the failing unusual market retain its value

As of Sept. 15, 2015, it is still stable at 16 refined. There's even a couple of bots in Classifieds selling a large number of keys for 15.88 at the time of this post.

I'm having a bit of trouble selling mine for 16 ref. Every bot I've tried that buys for 16 and sells for 16.11 is out of ref. It's been progressively harder to sell keys within the past few days, too. I tried setting up my own trade and, as of the time of this posting, have had no luck:

I've honestly never had to wait more than a single bump to sell keys. It seems to me that keys are going down, not up.

Eventually, yes. But it took a lot longer than it usually does. I'm not debating that you can sell for 16 ref, just that it takes a lot longer than I'm used to and it doesn't seem like 16.11 is viable, especially since all the bots selling for that price are out of ref and full of keys.

Honestly I thought the keys would drop :/. Every bot who is buying for 16 is out of stock with too many keys and they seem not to be able to sell them.

Key bots are so common that they probably represent the majority of the actual market. Personally, I haven't done a standard search like I would with other items in probably a year? It's just not worth the huge amount of time for a 0.11 ref savings (about $0.01-0.02 per key).

Anyway, it would be nice to see some keybot trades here as supporting evidence (or marked where they are already posted, if some are; I didn't check through all the links)

Im not including bot as proof only because I can't determine how many keys was sold/ unsold/ left bot inventory etc.

I'd just like to see what the majority of bots are buying/selling for, and whether they have keys in stock. For example, scrap.tf is buying at 15.88 and selling at 16, and almost never has any keys in stock, which is not sufficient evidence by itself, but strongly supports 15.88 not being included. I'm aware that they wouldn't count as valid proof, but it is useful information. (Side note: classifieds aren't just support any more, they count as actual evidence if you hit sufficient numbers)

Current price of 16 Refs is fine, 16.11 allready is a hard range where are way too many 16 refined sellers are, I can imagine when someone needs a Key very very fast and a bot sell it for 16.11 instanttrade he buys one to not wait for a manual accept on 16 refined.

Also trade.tf bots there is currently only one buyer for 16 refined and all others buying for less then 16 refined.

Considering stable 16 Refined for a Key. Maybe even a small downvote depending on how classifieds are after the weekend (weekend increases sales normally a bit then flows down again).

1st four link are month old buyers for 15 - its obvious buyers wanna give as less as they can (and they are old AF aswell)

last 2 links are trading bots for 15.66-77 - so they possibly weren't uodated in very long time

Sure they are "old" bcs price is changed simply by editing the text in the outpostings - those are permanent tradeposts with variable prices like all permanent outpostings. Date of creating such an outposting doesnt mean anything at all in this case.

Had no problem buying 16 keys @ 16 ref.

I've bought ALOT of keys at 16 ref in classified over the past few weeks, the amount of sales at 16 still dwarfs the 16.11 by orders of magnitude and thus shouldn't be considered in the range. Also many of your buyers above 16 ref are sellers/poorly bumped/ out of ref etc. it seems that 16.11 ref is a quick-buy price and 16 not a quicksell (thanks to the arbitrage bots mainly).

Theretically the metal value of keys will always go up / $$$ value of metal will go down because while keys are being used to open crates, not nearly as many people are crafting their refined into other things, not to mention there are millions of weapons dropped every week.... soo yeee

My option is: Trading in Tf2 at all, would be better without bp.tf\scrap.tf\dispenser.tf etc, becouse trading slowly going to shop market, with fixed prices.

So, i'll back to my first comment - keys should no change for scrap or two, becouse thats normal, if someone selling for 15,88, when it cost 16 refs, just to get metall, and if someone selling at 16.11, just becouse he got alot of keys and he can. Not becouse then want change price. Even if your suggestion is going to be accepted, nothing changes at all. Price would be 16.11, and still someone going to sell keys at 16 refs, and someone else at 16.22. So thats why i told keys range should change at least for 0,33, and better if 0.66. If people sell higher, bp.tf is going to set the price range higher. This is why keys went from 7 ref to 16 ref. Too many people are reliant on the price, so its best not to say a price for it (although classified listings do show what people want to buy/sell (usually quickbuy/sell at the front, and normal prices after 2-3 pages)).

How is this even democratic price voting, when in the end, the mods decide whether this gets accepted or not?

Just set a vote minimum of, lets say 5000 for currencies and if this is reached it gets either declined or accepted, depending on how many voted yes or no.

It's so the rules are followed. Seen many positive votes knocked back due to one rule not being followed

sure someone should watch, that the rules are being followed, but the final decision should be at the community

With this time the mods don't just sit on their hands they actually check market trends and current price points to see if the price change is valid since so many keys are sold on a daily basis it's no easy task. If was a straight up voting choice prices that don't refectory the market would be accepted
