Does one sell really make a valid suggestion? Plus, if they have a lot of these, the price raise is clearly being made for profit.

On rare item of this kind, yeah it can be enough, its really hard to find a sale, + the steam market price support the price (was about 9-10 keys at the time posted, its still around the same range actualy, after more than 20 days

Edit : "Since the 29 aug", also there is 3 or 4 sales at this price on SCM

Don't let this be like the haloween part people!

- Halloween part was totaly and momentary hyped because of halloween (thoses strangifiers arent expensive because of hype, but slowly & surely because of rarity)

- Halloween part was still droppable by unboxing (thoses strangifiers arent, and will never be)

- Halloween part was kinda useless, and highballed/stocked by "profit buyers"

for a very little demand finaly (thoses strangifiers can be used on unusuals)

When you paid 300 keys for your dream unusuals, paying 10 keys more for make it strange doesnt really matter anymore

Especialy when you consider this fact in tf2 : "More its rare more its cool"

Just going to emphasize what has already been said, but the market is incredibly small with only 2 sellers on Outpost. One is Henri and the other is hidden in the trade notes: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/21914846

1hundred has had the trade open for over a year, but still holds onto 1 DCU strangifier. Last offer on it (which was declined) was on August 29th for 3 keys which was immediately increased to 4 keys (Nick♫ ★A9).

Last one to sell on the scm was 1 day after this suggestion went up for $22.55.

Thanks you, i didnt had the time to make more research, and searching strangifiers on outpost is a pain, i dont know if there is different or easier way, and yeah this suggest is up from so many time, i almost forgot it ^^

There is no easy way. I just cycle through every Strangifier trade on Outpost once a week to check up on what the rarer ones are going for.

Well, i crafted almost all of them myself more than a year ago, and i waited all this time, if you made same maybe you would own 12 today, "no i didnt bought all of the market to own the monopoly" --> "i just waited enough for the market become the smaller possible, to start selling"

So you can consider "if i didnt crafted them 1 year ago, the market would be smaller again, and then, price higher ahah"

A monopoly would imply that Henri owns all of them, but this is not the case. You can go and buy one off the Steam Community Market (which actually costs more), try to pry it out of 1hundred's hands, or try and find someone else who has it but isn't listed for sale. I don't see why you seem so personally upset about this as you are not in this market nor does it even look like you were planning on entering it or buying a DCU strangifier anytime soon.

I'm currently seeing no counter-proof to this request, just accusations of price-manipulation. If you believe this isn't worth 9 keys, then show the trades that attempt to sell it for that much...and failed. Easy Peezy. The problem is I can't even find a single trade for this item anywhere except for the links provided here. The strange variants are less expensive than the Strangifier though.

Same thing as the Summer shades strangifier , most of the people who buy this kind of strangifiers is for using it on an unusual or a low craft, also it will be a waste to use one of them on a "regular" item

9 Keys is actually low given the scm market sales after Valve fees are roughly around 9 to 10 keys.

Wouldn't it be 7.75 keys after fees? That's what the seller gets. The buyer pays 10 keys though.

Messed up on the math by using the seller price first, which comes out to ~9.4 keys. Seller gain leads to ~8.2 keys when using usd.

Can't believe that no poor children have brought up that a strange deep cover operator is only 3 keys. They are really dumb a judging at face value. P.s I'm not saying the suggestion is wrong because of this the strangifier is its own separate item to the strange and should be price accordingly to market trends.

EDIT2 : Did my own research and there is no one selling it for 3 keys, they go from 5 to even 12 keys (In outpost and other sites) so i think that people is being jelly about him having 12 strangifiers and doing a suggestion to rise its price
