http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/26964662 B/O of 20 (sold for beams buckaroo but capped)
Despite the sales at 16, there's just too many quickbuyers at that price to justify it being in a range.
The crossover at 20, however, suggests a common trading point, especially since that buyer doesn't appear to be buying to flip it for profit.
Let it ride. And please, don't go bananas in this suggestion. Keep it civil.
Why is the price so high ?
Relatively rare item with a lot of community hype.
Yup, my guess is that it'll be around a few keys, or the price of a BMOC/Bills in a few months. Tons of hype right now though, if I ever got one now is a bad time lol.
I'm predicting once the hype wears down the price will likely hover around 20-25 keys for the strange variant and 4-5 keys for the unique.
seems that about 20 keys is the most common trade point, and a nice round number too. upvoting so it gets a fair price. scm seems to hint this may be a touch high depending if you look at the buyer or sellers end, but there are presently a few buyers at 18 between outpost and bp classies suggesting 18 would be a quicksale. upvote :)
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27039134 - Have a willing buyer at 20
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27029109 - Got offered 15 after he/she sold for 12, pity
When the hat came out I bookmarked the bp.tf page of it so I see when it get priced. Overall, this suggestion seems better than the other, you have my vote. Btw saw it in-game like 1-2 weeks ago and it's not that great looking (at least for me) but tell it to Joxu. He love it since he loves bananas. :D I think the hype is strong with this one and it will drop more in the future. Just like with the Bills. I remember buying white bills for 8 keys and that was a qs back then, now white bills are ~3 or even less, gg.
Lets be honest about it, it's a fuckugly hat and the only reason it costs more than a key is because valve now apparently dictates which hat should have a high price and desirability as opposed to the community selecting themselves by putting it in elite tier.
Its also because now you can become a walking Banana
Lol i was the one that offered 15 k
*cough* I still believe the Unusual Strange version will be the new Burning Flames Team Captain. *cough*
You know the military is fucked up when the Elites in the military wear this thing.
Better then other suggestion I guess, upvute.
Why soo high price you may ask ? ITS A F*CKING BANANA HAT
There's money in the banana hat.
Another seller for 20 - http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27058129
This is definitely more accurate then the other suggestion. Upvote.
Just going to copy over relevant proof I've been posting on the other suggestion (I'll try post the sales in chronological order, there might be a double up or two in here):

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27036761 - sold for Bubbling Brim-full of Bullets (unpriced)
There's a bunch of sales below 20, but a bunch of offers below 20. Either way, I don't think we can ignore the lower sales as ~16 seems to be a common trading point. Higher sales are countered by the sellers.
And sales at 16 and below are countered by the quick buyers.
