Don't do "roughly." Not in this context anyway.
SALES:
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27130264 Offered + sweets (~2) on Aussie Knife (22)
22 - 2 = 20
Histories:
http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198091727711?time=1442991600&compare=1443769200
http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198142375270?time=1437116400&compare=1437375600 Sold + sweets (~4) for SGG I See You (22)
Presumably offered, 22 - 4 = 18
Let it ride.
When I give a price estimate to a hat, I give it sale-wise(the ability that it can have to sell), not suggestion-wise(what it has sold for previously). Just thought I should clarify that.
For example, a Death at Dusk Glasgow Great Helm has the potential to sell for 100+ Keys, but for all we know it might have sold around 60-70 Keys.
It's personal preference. I prefer to give evidence of sales than some airy-fairy "oh it COULD sell for this." I find one much more factually useful.
that's logical. it's silly to assume the worth of a hat just because someone else decided to sell it for XX.
then again, said reasoning is completely against bp.tf logic.
just wondering what your reasoning is behind assuming that the homme was offered on the I see you
also sold here for a stormy mountain cap:

no overpay because offered
capped by buyout of 16 on the cap: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27111433
because it's reasonable to assume if stuff was added to hat X in a trade for hat Y,that hat X was offered. - like for example the first trade
edit: you point out that the cap can be priced with this,or ?
well, seeing as the sale looks like a bulk sale and is pretty old, the sale for the homme couldn't exceed the value of 16
you could update the value of the cap with it, but you could also make a range of 16-22 for this which would be more accurate imo
Whatever.
I'll look at this in the morning when I don't want to kill myself
uhhh, ok, have fun
ehm
the cap is outdated
even if you take it's outdated price of 14 (don't know why you take 16)and don't apply overpay(altho i don't see that the homme was offered on it) - still makes it 14 and well seems pretty low compared to sales at 18 and 20
so yea, using the homme to price the cap seems more reasonable as it makes the sale 17 > that is 16 with the b/o <.>
proof homme was offered: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/44038-need-help-roughly-pricing-unusual/
he can make a more accurate mini if he wants, all I'm saying is that the sale is capped at 16, so a range of 16-22 would be more accurate, especially since we cant really be sure if the homme was offered in sale 2
how is it capped at 16 ?
16 can only cap a sale/mini on the medic cap - it cannot cap the homme.
we could first price the medic cap and then price the homme off that.
but that's not necessary since we have 2 sales, and can update the medic cap instead off forcing a 3rd sale here
whatever, it doesnt make a huge difference and we're just spamming gent's suggestion
2$ median change. i could build a few schools in a 3rd world country for that much, but to each his own <.>
