Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 16.11 ref

the change to 16.11 is completely unnecessary i've bought at least 7 - 10 keys THIS WEEK and for just 16 ref with no problem finding sellers at all there are many people selling keys at 16 ref on backpack.tf and trade.tf and scrap.tf always seems to have a lot of keys in stock and they buy keys for only 15.88

Hate to break it to you, but the four buyers you had at 16.11 have now closed their trades, leaving you at almost no proof supporting 16.11 or higher. The amount of sellers you have at 16 also proves 16 is still a viable option for buyers.

The open sellers prove they don't sell at higher prices, sellers at above your suggested or at your suggested range does not help you and if anything, devalues your other proof because you've countered yourself.

Unless backpack.tf have drastically changed their key pricing rules whilst I've been gone, I'm gonna have to downvote this suggestion, sorry. Nice try though :)

I think the 0.05 change will be considered "unnecessary". You could do something with those 16.33 solds.

16.33 is not a common trading point. You can still buy keys for 16.11 or even 16 if you wait enough time.

I know, i have bought many keys there. I meant enough time for 16 refs, because finding 16.11 sellers is quite easy.

Just sharing my personal experience, Scrap.tf is selling at 16 ref and had stock yesterday and today (not many but yeah). Also someone randomly sent me a trade offer for 16 ref with his key without me having a buy order or anything lol.

Scrap.tf barely when updates keys price there becase there is always 0 keys in stock

Disagree, I've bought at least 6 keys from scrap.tf THIS WEEK alone for the 16 refined. The last time I just bought one, there were 10 in stock there, so I'm not sure when exactly you're checking that.

Yes they sell quickly on there, but the point is they have been available. 16.33 on the high end isn't justified in my mind.

There is hardly any sales at 16.33 ref. There is no need for 16.33 to be on the range at all, in fact I don't think there is any need for any change at the moment.

I would have to disagree as well. I am not sure when exactly you are checking that as well because whenever I do, I always see they have some keys in stock. Lately, I have seen scrap.tf having over 10 keys. I myself bought bunch of keys on scrap.tf few days ago, not to mention they have keys in stock at the moment as well.

I wouldn't say this is necessary, I've been buying keys at 16 ref successfully when I've had a buy order up.

Also, another thing, I have never gotten why "no sellers at current suggested value's low end" is a factor in rising the suggested value. I'd go by average trading price. Keys pop up for sale at 16 ref rather often, that means people are more than willing to sell them at that price.

Another thing I don't understand are the 16.33 ref sales/buyers. They're obviously outliers but people still think that the percentage of 16.33 (or above) links in the proof correspond to the percentage of 16.33 sales in the Mannconomy.

Plenty of sellers/sold/buyers at 16 flat, change isn't really big enough to justify 16.11 unless you count in 16.33 if it had more solds/buyers/sellers.

I've noticed that all listings on bp.tf to sell for 16 ref are almost always bought immediately. I've also managed to buy a number of keys for 16 ref from scrap.tf this past month. There's quite a bit of patience involved, but keys are still good at 16 ref. I'd never buy keys for 16.22 or above from all those posts on Outpost. I'd buy for 16.11 if I was really desperate.

Scrap.tf rarely has keys, and even when they have keys, there's barely any.

16 ref has been a very stable price for some time now. Tf2 Finance also states keys at 16.05, so the current range is still capable of holding. A new key price still needs time to develop.

I still think 16-16.11 is a good range. While many sell/try to sell for 16.11, I can easily get a key for 16 ref in the blink of an eye.

Seriously, though. Many keys are still selling for 16 ref each, making the 16.11 flat raise a bit unnecessary. Again, as The Wanderer stated above, a new key price still needs time to develop.

However, I will admit I appreciate the amount of work that this person has put into researching this price.

Change in one scrap is so insignificant compare to 16 refs key costs now. Make a vote when it will come to a rec at least. Also integer number always looks better

When I quickly want ref, I don't use scrap.tf to get 15.88 since I don't like to start tf2 and then have to craft ref.

I just put a classified on this site for 16 ref. Keep it on for 10-15sec and then close it again. Then I just pick the first trade offer, accept and refuse the others. I'm serious just test it out :)
