That is not how backpack.tf operates. We don't conspire about what the prices of items should be, we simply report what items are currently selling for. In order to make a price suggestion you must have evidence of sales at the specific pricepoint you are suggesting. Without evidence a suggestion is useless.

ANYONE can just list an item on scm for an absurdly high price. If I were to list a strange flamethrower (worth 1 refined) for, say, $15, does that mean the strange flamethrower should rise to that much? no?

So if I were to take a key and sell it on the market for $200 does that mean all keys are suddenly worth $200? No, this is why the SCM is unreliable gauge of an item's worth because people can set whatever price they want. You need sales to raise a price, not sellers.
