There were lots of other items removed from his backpack that day but the histories don't match, so they most likely weren't involved

lol, I sold my duped one for sulphorous BoA + ak-47 vulcan ft, putting it far far above this. Oh and this isnt the only sale.

It's possible that the Fortunate Son was being very overvalued in that trade, rendering it an outlier :P
