There's a theory that it's to do with escrow, the system Valve is planning to implement into TF2 (which is intended to make trading safer, but.... yeah, it'll break pretty much every trading site):

I honestly doubt it's completely due to this escrow thing. While this thing was announced yesterday I believe, Keys have been raising at high speed since last week. It's just the average key cycle all over again.

Keys hit 25 ref and then fall, calling it now.

Yeah, I'm personally not sure. That's why I called it only a theory. :P

If they implemented it ever, rip steam trading.

I'd expect that we'll see more 18.11+ buyers soon. Even some of the submitter's links have already changed their prices from s>18 b>17.66-.88 to s>18.22 b>18.00-.11.

in outpost there are like 15 pages for selling-buying leys you cant just get the price loswer with 7 traders

I have 34 keys but I'm totaly disagree with this keys price rush.

I'm not agree how things work in backpack.tf permitting this rush happen to several items again and again.
