Suggestion: Mann Co. Supply Crate Key at 19 ref

I think that bp.tf is going the right direction in encouraging less experienced suggestors to get more involved and if I were you I would reevualuate your cynical stance on minor errors.

Hahah please tell me, what has that suggestion got to do with yours right now? I would gladly keep suggesting if I had too much time on my hands. Someones a little desperate by going left field to divert the attention away from the point.

You still have insufficient evidence to support your high end and that clearly stands. I would like a moderator to explain otherwise unless theyve become that lenient to pass a key suggestion with 3 links. Don't try and stray from my point. I too would encourage more people to suggest, however, these suggestions are made public for criticism. If you need to go on a personal level to defend your suggestions, I pity you as a bp.tf suggestor.

I was merely pointing out mistakes as it is clear no one checks anything anymore, nothng cynical about it. And 3 links for a key suggestion is definitely NOT the right direction.

You don't really seem to have changed from a year ago, at all whether in terms of civility or maturity. This suggestion seems perfectly fine at first glance. Everyone makes small mistakes, and it's always good to point them out. Just do it in a polite manner. Not that hard. As to us "pompous knowitalls", doesn't necessarily mean we're wrong.

And where is the "civility and maturity" in denigrating someone by saying they should "never suggest again"? That is the most left field reply I've ever had. Having an opinion on bp.tf's cutoff range for sufficient evidence has nothing to do with Wustin's ability to make suggestions, which he obviously took the wrong way.

Whether people like it or not, I still stand by my opinion that 3 links is definitely insufficient unless additional evidence is provided. Disliking or disparaging me will not discourage me from commenting.

P.S. @Cobalt. Could you tell me why such little evidence is needed for key suggestions nowadays?

I wouldn't want to bother, but you should take a look at the Classifieds and Outpost and you'll find there are almost no keys for sale at less than 19 ref anymore with loads of sellers and buyers at 19/19+ refs.

I don't think he's missing proofs, perhaps he would need to update the links?

At the time of my first comment there were only 3 valid op links, which felt inappropriate to me.

However, as key suggestions are made the market adjusts to it, so I believe there is now enough 19 ref buyers after looking through the market to pass the suggestion. I do believe that it needs to be provided on the suggestion, as you have said, and not make others look around for evidence.

Those are ever changing, new posts are created and old ones removed due to sales/boughts. Unless you want an hour long gif of the classies I suggest you keep an eye on them yourself.

Can you imagine an hour long classies gif? It would be like watching the forming of earth from the big bang through the dinosaurs all the way to you sitting watching a gif about the classies.

Although if you are a creationist then it would just be a really slow series of images of god creating the earth in 7 days.

yeah maybe for regular, small market items. Keys are highly volatile and the classies exact number of buyers and at what price keeps changing. For items like keys and buds it's just better to link the classies to save the suggestor from rescreenshotting every hour. Plus they're long as shit

We're not changing the real-money value for the keys, they already got up in price as a matter of fact the keys are 2.35€ in the in-game shop. We're changing the ref->key value.

My thinking is that due to the inflation, no one will open crates anymore and the economy will gradually stop due to no more uncratings and maybe even cosmetic crafting. But Devoid, I think you're right.

Keys are 2.50 usd keys will continue to be 2.50 usd the majority of unboxers buy new keys from the Mann Co Store and unbox and even with increasing key price the eco has been fine as items with the recent updates were unboxed on a large scale and have dropped to a reasonable price. You know why because of the scm many people chase the goal of unboxing a rare item early on to be they only person with one and sell it for a very high price. So no these key prices will have no effect on unboxing. Valve aren't blind to the eco the resent updates have all used new keys.

What you have said is true, but after analysing the gun mettle and invasion unboxings, combined with the inflating key price, serious traders who unbox the crates in search for an unusual will know their facts, they would have a larger chance of losing profit than earning, so they probably would not use their hundreds of keys to uncrate anymore, therefore losing the majority of the source which stranges, hats, etc. come from. The invasion and gun mettle unboxings were mostly done by casual people trying out their luck (1-2 keys) and youtubers for entertainment (20+ keys). Soon, the economy will slow down due to a lack of influx of items. Convincing enough? :P

Well yes I have noticed that a higher majority of traders are using the steam community market because there is no one week trade lock and independent of the eco. But gun meddle has low metal and key trades as they weren't priced here as there are too many variables with the item. Really scm is dominating new items. I only use keys for buying stuff because most of the time it's cheaper.

It's true that gun mettle and invasion are mainly traded over scm, but as I said, less unboxings will occur, and the economy will slowly grind to a halt due to less items being produced. The scm prices are actually kind of close to bp.tf prices, and for skins not occuring in bp.tf, there are actually benchmark prices on scm.

Doesn't really seem so tho because really due to the change to why people unbox and mann co keys not being used for unboxing I mean the price of a key doesn't matter I mean with the recent updates the percentage of unboxers hasn't really changed due to there still Being a competitive market as prices of new common items being driven down

The price of a key does matter. If you were to unbox a crate using a key worth 18.66, compared to a key worth less than 10 ref (in the old days), the losses would be less if you unboxed, let's say a craft hat. This would spur traders to unbox due to the unusual they would unbox if they used hundreds of keys outweighing the total loss of unboxing the items worth less than a key.

No your not using mann co keys your using a new key that 2.50 usd for that update that's unpriced in metal the amount of people that buy new keys with metal or mann co keys is very small

Perhaps you should update this suggestion with more proof as more people are now buying at 19 ref.
