Can't you not base prices for regular items off market prices? The tf2 item market and community market are two totally separate entities, prices on one may not necessarily mean anything on the other.
No, they are sales you can do it: http://backpack.tf/vote/id/56147949dea9e9df364ac08f
"Can't you not base prices for regular items off market prices?"
I'm well aware you can for unusuals, my question is regarding regular items like this.
I think it's been done for obscure items like rare strangifiers. It might depend on the discretion of the mod. IMO if we priced all collector's off of SCM their values would be pretty inflated.

Pretty sure that's how the Collector's Original had a wide ass range a few months back.
seems legit
I can't tell whether or not you're being sarcastic and that concerns me.
Yea, me too

Theres a pro killstreak one for sale here for 5 keys for a week. I doubt a regular one would be worth the same as a pro killstreak one
And? Sales happened, it doesn't matter
Two sales on the market happened, for a low priced item. The SCM has taxes that mess with the value. I'm not sure this is enough proof to change the price this much. And it may not matter enough to directly counter the suggestion, but it certainly means you need to look into it more.
I sold it to him :3
Yea :P.
Better than the current price
