before I even vote on this, can a mod chime in on whether non-mobile-authenticated people are valid proofs anymore? I have seen comments suggesting that people without mobile / instant trades aren't valid, and I don't see any of these traders having mobile authenticators :S

http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/24184515 are you assuming he hasn't sold any metal in 3 months because the last comment with a person saying they're buying metal was 3 months ago? or did you actually add the trade owner to talk? 'cause not everyone is gonna comment....

^ same question for a couple of the .13 sellers too

it's a valid concern, the dates the suggester said the last trades happened correspond to the last comments, but no comments doesn't necessarily mean no trades

I also don't appreciate the "kid" crap, but nice pun

Please keep nonconstructive/spam comments off suggestions. They're unnecessary and particularly obnoxious on currency suggestions, as they mask constructive commentary. If your comment adds nothing of value, don't post it.

Buyer for 0.12 right here. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25428078

That 1 trade counters your whole suggestion.

he blanked out the ref in buying so i guess he is not buying atm

Except 12 cents is still in the range...?

Except someone is willing to pay more than the low end...? Why value it lower than what someone is willing to pay for it?

Well, there is that thing about 'one person is not necessarily indicative of the entire market'

And like happysedits said, the ref is blanked out on the buying end of the trade. Most likely meaning he's not buying at the moment. Which probably means he's overstocked, which would, in turn, mean he's been having a hard time selling ref for $0.13, further proving that it needs a drop.

I realize these are a series of assumptions, but from what I'm seeing it appears to be the case.

                    Weedoof is right.

Ik this cause last time when I was buying ref, iirc the last suggestion, maybe before that, I had sellers going with my buying price @ .09$ and they wouldn't include that into the range, even thought I didn't have a 'minimum of 100' at least.

I think .11-.13 works because it includes .12 into it, and if there are possible buyers at .11 and .13 then it includes every price that has frequent sales. Therefore making it fair.

To clarify, I don't update my prices unless I'm actually trying to buy or sell. It's a hassle to keep up with the prices constantly changing. If I were to start trading refined, I would change the price accordingly. My trade isn't valid proof at the moment.

Though if it helps, I was selling refined for 13 cents a pop a week ago while I was cashing out. It was not selling at that price.

outpost in not the main site for cash trades

"One note on refined suggestions. You should really look at multiple different sites include outpost, backpack.tf/forums, sourceop, and tf2-trader to gather proof of sellers of refined in cash. You should check for comments from interested buyers and it may be necessary to add the sellers to ask when they last sold and at what price."

As far as I've seen on other sites, most people have stopped buying ref for the moment because the ref to key market is being strange at the moment. Typically more will pop up once it stabilizes again.

As for sourceop, there is only one thread and it is a ref buyer, and he's buying at .09$ which is just one. I'm sure if we wait more will pop up. Mine is closed at the moment for the exact same reason of ref:key not being stable.

sold 7 ref yesterday for 0.13

                                          stays in range so upvote

At this point there's more proof for 0.10 than 0.11. That tf2-trader buyer at 0.11 doesn't look too trustworthy either...

@youtube. I appreciate the effort here, but I think the refined : key value is just too volatile right now to make any sort of estimation on what the refined value is right now. It's really hard to pin down the price during the winter event when the price is changing from week to week. You can see from the sellers you have that the prices have changed and trades have been closed.

For future refined suggestions, please try to gather proof of websites designed for exchanges of tf2 currency for cash. These include tf2trader, the forums, and sourceop in addition to outpost. It will give you much stronger supporting evidence. In addition, it would also be a good idea to put down the buyers. The buyer market on refined in particular is really important in helping identify the low end.
