This feels very low, even for a heavy hat

I thought that too but then I saw how close it would be to GBH so meh

I actually think that the aussie FJ was either a gift to a friend or payment for brokering the hat. Actual sale seems to have been KAW hard counter + TW sack + ~9 keys in items. The hat ultimately went to this guy - http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/194699 - who was really looking for a heavy hat he liked, so it looks like he paid a good chunk to acquire it. You can see the hats he posts skips the "broker / friend" and go straight to the real seller.
