Pretty sure oxy is latin for sharp, or similar, hence oxymoron literally meaning "sharpblunt"
I meant Greek, we all make mistakes
No worries, it just jarred with me, Latin's like the one thing I'm good at :P
Teach me, I suck at latin :/
You'd be surprised how much you know, a LOT of it is appropriated into the English language :)
Vocab is not the problem^^
I just simply suck at translating.
Year 5 btw
literally, the greek word οξυς means sharp as well; sour/acid is a side meaning iirc
Fair enough, I'm reasonably certain in my assumption that oxy and acid have no relation in latin though :P
are these facts from google? or do you actually have like a phd in latin chemistry
oh pls i'm not that smart
http://www.rsc.org/periodic-table <--- here
Evidently not Latin chemistry :3
Last link is mine. I traded a nuts lucha for the bucket, he offered me. Accounting for overpay, about 16 keys, upgoat.
