Sale #1 (my paypal purchase with "The One")

Bought for $400 = ~222 keys at $1.8 per key

Another was sold quickly in this sale for 160 ~ i'm ignoring it for the price suggestion

    http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27715210 Hmm.

The B/O there is conspicuous by its absence.

He actually initially said no, then changed his mind and sold me it later. I offered $400 a month ago.

That's, nice but it doesn't actually address my point.

Well, on that trade he doesn't give a buyout, meaning he doesn't have one.

The One - "I love these taunts. Give me your absolute, bestest offer.

No, seriously. I have zero interest in negotiating. Give me the final offer you can make and I will give an answer."

            I can read, thank you.

I just find it odd that he gives a B/O for every item other than it, including items are are considerably more valuable. It's suspicious to me.

He pretty clearly states - Some items may not be in my inventory.

The best i can do for you is show The One this suggestion, as I can't really answer your question, it was his trade which i didn't even post on.

You've managed to comment on everything EXPECT what I'm talking about. Amazing, and also not helping my suspicion.

Really no need to be sarcastic, i'm trying to help you out with this question you posed. I suspect it may have just been his mistake to put the taunt up for sale as he knew about my $400 offer that month ago because we talked about it.

I'll still get The One to answer you as only he really can.

Also if this is a question about my proof being invalid or anything then he too will have to provide more i guess.

Because the notes looked something like this before I decided to cash out everything. http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27447903

By the time I changed my notes, the taunt was already sold so there was no need to post a buyout.

The 160 keys B/O took over a week, not very quicksale.

I doubt the buyer hesitated once he saw the sale. Just probably needed to gather the keys. A week seems fine to gather that.

Over a week with a B/O 60 keys less than your range is still pretty considerable.

Paypal trading is way quicker and easier than gathering 160 keys tbh. That's the reasoning behind my price.

It should still probably be in range since it took over a week to sell at 62 keys less than your range. Doesnt matter about reasoning, what matters is sales, B/Os and speed, and this wasnt a quicksale. Plus there are plenty of key sellers with hundreds of keys, and could have easily bought all 160 from them in a single trade, and only spend 288$ rather than 400$

The speed for a particular B/O is different than for others, in my mind I thought that it was reasonable for a quick sale. It's obviously very debatable where you draw the line for this. Some will say it took a FULL week for it to sell where as others might say it took ONLY a week.

it may be relevant to note that the seller only bumped his trade once every few days; when he sold it, his trade was 5 days old (other days are escrow) and last bumped 3 days ago. With bumping that poorly, its quite tough to sell an item for your full pure buyout that fast

          There is another sale

          Sold for:

          Green Energy Blighted Beak (118)

          Haunted Ghosts Exquisite Rack (107)

Isotope Specialized Killstreak Low Profile SMG (Factory New)

Strange Professional Killstreak Australium Scattergun (43)

Strange Specialized Killstreak Festive Sniper Rifle (11)

          2 keys in items

I know because the buyer was negotiating with me with a similar offer. I would have taken it but I wasn't too keen on selling at the time. Probably around 250 here, though can't be used because the unusual weapon cannot be priced.

160 pure in a weekish is still pretty quick. The seller also didn't bump his trades regularly. You can argue both ways.

It's still good to know that there is an even a more expensive sale than mine out there. Hopefully it makes my suggestion much more reasonable now.

That sounds like a lot more than 250 tbh; that smg is probably ~30 ish (may be generous, but it wont be far lower I guess).

Flat price is probably okay here, with that high sale and the 160 "arguable qs" as outliers

One of the issues here is timestamps (I am on London Greenwich time).

Eonwe offered $400 to The One 1-2 months ago and was declined since at that time The One wanted massive offers to part with his stuff (Pretty much confirmed through the notes section on his previous post).

He then closed on Jan 9th for that particular trade post.

More recently (Jan 13th) Kemeko lists his taunt for sale at 160 keys.

Eonwe makes an offer of the $400 (no idea why so much when he only wants 160 keys) on Jan 17th at 1:58am.

The One Lists his taunts for sale on the same day at 3:23am an hour and a half later. The trade with the One has to happen after that otherwise he wouldnt have been able to list the taunt anyway.

Eonwe now has knowledge of a seller for 160 keys (with a more appealing shorter history) which is proven through the time stamps.

He still opts to pay a larger amount for the Ones taunt over the lower but more appealing taunt which would have saved a lot of money.

The situation would be different without the prior knowledge of a cheaper offer but that is the problem here. Knowledge. Eonwe opts to pay 62 keys more for The One instead of saving 62 keys and buying the cheaper one with the shorter history to which he has confirmed through timestamps that he was aware of prior to the deal with The One.

Personally I just dont understand Eonwe's logic here since he is not a stranger to buying keys through paypal (as shown by trust on his profile) so a "1 week waiting time not wanting to lose out on the deal" would not apply here.

"1 week waiting time not wanting to lose out on the deal" would not apply here.

It wouldn't apply to me, but I was not the buyer of Kemeko's taunt, so that's just speculating that the buyer could gather keys fast.

Also, i was hoping to increase the price of this taunt, as i value it at what i paid for it (seems pretty normal).

It really only comes down to if Kemeko's sale was a quicksale which has been gone over by Foamy.

Rejected offer of 155 pure proves 160 is an outlier http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27822235

Cheers, let me know what you sell it for. If it's like 222ish then i won't re-suggest it. If it is about 5 or so keys above or below my suggestion, i'll do a re-suggest. Thanks!
