Pretty sure that the sale involving the nun-hood also included a Strange Pro KS Kritz (Putting the sale at a value of ~325)

Source: I got the same offer from Josh.

    Scratch that.

    Anyways,

    #RiseOfThePiggies

      No, it didn't.

        Guess I was wrong then.

first sale had a b/o of 180 keys:

    http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27790339

It also sold within 2 days, for quite a bit over the b/o.

still can't be valued higher than it's b/o, you could call it an outlier though

Then the Burning TC sale which had a b/o of 8000 keys must've been a outlier, since it actually sold for 8660 ish. amirite, it sold for quite a bit over the b/o.

Enough of the irony, the War Pigs are rising, it's fact. They aren't as cheap as they used to be before.

i don't understand your point? the sale was at 8660 but was capped at the b/o of 8000 keys. likewise in this case, the war pig should be capped at it's b/o. and since you have sales at 180 keys and 300 keys, why not suggest at 300 keys flat since 180 is an outlier

What I'm trying to say is that I agree completely with Apo.

Gonna leave this on both suggestions; you guys may fight over who gets the suggestion in the end ;p

        Two sales occurred since:

Sold for duped scorching tyrants (~190) + Sf pro ks medgun (~35) + 6 in sweets

        http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198056793885/#!/compare/1455350400/1455696000

Mini for the tyrants would be this:

        Sold for 190 keys

        http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198039731024?time=1457683200

190 keys obtained in same trade: http://backpack.tf/item/4635431699 (1 of them)

you may recount them, as I only did a quick scan

other sales are far lower but far less suitable to use:

Sold + buttload of stuff for duped burning buto

        http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198093010030/#!/compare/1455264000/1455696000

        Gonna be really low

Sold + ~100 in aussies for clean burning buto

        http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198276572865/#!/compare/1456905600/1456992000

        ~150

Since the 190 is a pure sale, you can just use that

With that, that sale would be 190+35+6 = ~230

With that 200 BO up for ages, and that RA samur sale capped at 180, Id support a range of 180-230 here. The sales seem to indicate a raise is in order, but 300 is really likely an outlier here.

Also, to back up the range:

Theres a sale where it sold + mg fish (~100) for arcana bomber (~300)

        http://backpack.tf/vote/id/56a59024ba8d886c27bd0259 listed there

Sales would be 180 (capped), 200 and 230, with 300 as outlier due to the long unsold @200. Most other sales Ive found are bulk.

Two problems. The 180 BO was offered 220 in items and declined and eventually sold for 239. Just because he claims a buyout shouldnt discount the actual sale price. Second the sale for 200 was offered trades far exceeding his 200 asking price and rejected everyone.

And the only sale on outpost is asking 350 now. My range might be a little high but this.one it too low.

well, the problem here is that we're trying to display pure values here. Its not always possible of course, but when a seller sets a buyout at 200, which goes unsold for 4 months, it means that in 4 months time, no one was willing to pay 200. Item offers over a buyout of 200 mean the seller didnt value the items offered over 200 pure.

              Look at it this way:

if the offer they received would easily be worth more than 200 pure, then the offerer would have sold their hats for 200 keys to purchase the hat. If they dont, it means they attempt to overpay for convenience reasons. If someone accepts an item offer over their BO of 200, it usually means they'd take those hats as a substitute for 200 keys.

I understand. The only problem I see is that people who are buying at this price point don't normally hold on to 200 pure. The people who have that kind of pure usually are buying in a higher price point. To expect pure only is difficult at any price point. That is why the sale sat so long unsold. Every AF War Pig that was being sold without the stipulation of pure only has sold fast and between the prices of 230 and 300.

The only fair way to compare values across hats is to look at what they sell for in pure. For example, beams modests sell for 200-300 pure all the time. Here, the AF war pig can't sell for 200 or even 180 in pure after 5 months. It's not fair to value them the same. Paying over someone's b/o in pure is a sale of convenience. We have to cap sales at their pure b/os for consistency across all hats.
