Worth finding out if there was anything more with the slug for it. Very recent sale was in a trade hold the day before you got the hat so worth looking into.
Since it would be a first time pricing 2 sales are better than 1. Would say look at offers on the other one on outpost to see if the slug sale is really low but 4 months and not even an offer does not look good. Even with a B/O of 200 you would expect some "low" offers to come along but nothing?

Not to be a buzzkill but that offer is heresay and not proven (the seller only says he got the offer but nobody posted the offer and no evidence provided of the offer). Furthermore that offer and reddit post is over a year old so not really usable as any evidence.
