Sold on Steam Community Market for $161.00
http://imgur.com/aw4Pren
$161.00/$2.49 = 64.7 keys (rounding to 65 for neatness)

https://gyazo.com/4b0f8843196e4a57797773b00ed3b86c
$140.00/$2.49 = 56.2 keys (rounding to 56 for neatness)
I couldn't find any other usable recent sales. Let me know if I might have missed anything. I am always looking for constructive criticism.
From my experience scm sales are only used as supporting proof. I could be wrong tho. You must really hate Flippity Floop to try something like this :P
SCM sales can be used as primary proof when all else fails. However, zirune's comment below is correct - the seller seems to lack trading knowledge and was probably the unboxer (see here for reference: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27925042 )
This sale really shouldn't be used.
Yea this is the trader: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198161560163
He hasn't even set up a single tf2 op trade/account and hes the original unboxer.
Hopefully this is helpful info.
Definitely not a good sale to use. Seller lacking trading knowledge, inability to tell how long it was on the market for (my guess would be less than a day), price difference so big that anybody in their right mind would buy it...
It was bought the day it was put on the market.
The main reason I used it is because there are no other sales to use as evidence to price the hat. The only other hat with this effect that was sold was duped, I could add that as a factor and re-suggest, but I was previously informed against using a duped hat to price the clean version.
If the duped sale is much higher than the clean sale, it'd suggest that this is too low.
The duped sale included 3 un-priced hats. That helps to complicate things.

Those 3 unusuals are at least ~40-50 keys each on their own. The sale you used for this suggestion is a clear outlier.
The Skullcap itself is duped and the hats involved aren't priced. I'm aware that this may be an outlier, but until those hats are sold, there is no way to price this hat using that sale.
We dont need to pinpoint an exact price on it to tell how much the sale roughly is. I can tell you 110% that it is double as much as your sale here.
You don't understand: an outlier doesn't need other sales to be defined. This price is way, way too low, logic, experience and common sense tell so. If there are no other usable sales, then let the hat as it is and do not make a suggestion (not meant as an offense). ^^
I think I get it now. I thought that this site was based strictly on numbers, and I am aware that this price is extremely low compared to its actual value, but I didn't factor logic into the suggestion; only numbers. I will keep it up anyways to see what happens. Feel free to down-vote if you disagree with the price.
Then again, I am not saying that as an offense, but this will NOT pass, better save some time to the mods and close it now.
Yeah, I wasn't taking it as a offense. I based my price off of the technical aspect solely, and not the people aspect. I'll keep it up and see what happens though. More people might see and offer useful advice.
Well we try to base it a lot on the technical part alone. But for deciding an outlier you also often need logic, if there arent many sales to work with. that being said, you should close this.^^
I would instabuy this for 65
Agreed.
I would instabuy that for 100 as well lel
I like how nobody even mentioned that this sale was a quicksell.
Listed on March 5th, sold on March 5th. Not only is it an outlier, but it's invalid from the get-go.
Downvote.
How is it a quicksell? I get that it may have been bought quickly off the market but how does that automatically make it a quicksell?
Sold in one day, check.
Sold for three times less than it's actual worth, check.
Sold by an inexperienced user, check.
Duped one sold for possibly three times as much as this, check.
There's nothing that indicates that this is NOT a quicksell. Hell if I had the pure, i'd buy this for 75 Keys at any time of the day.
I would pay 100
That just proves my point further :^)
I think it's best to leave this outdated until the new owner resells his.
I like the feedback this has been getting. It will help in the future which is why it's still up
Well, for anything its worth heres some info:
Bought from (from what I can assume to be) the original unboxer: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198161560163
He has >100 hours in tf2
No outpost activity (ever)
And created a little bit before the update that included this hat came out.
The duped one sold for much much more than this sale (~3x more), and taking into account that this user had little to no trading history, I don't think my sale is valid for being used as a pricing.
Also, if it's any help, while it isn't a sold, I was recently offered ~189 keys in some unusuals 2 days after I posted my new trade:

http://imgur.com/1dN45wu
More than 3x this suggestion's price
Don't worry, this suggestion won't pass because it's based on an obvious outlier. This should have been closed already.
I am in agreement with the comments that state this should not be used. The duped sales are far higher than this, and it is likely that the unboxer did not know the proper value here.
This will need to wait until either clean or dupes resell before it can be updated.
