This cosmetic really should have a backpack.tf price by now as it was released during the 2013 update, I'm basing the suggestion on the other low tier effects of the Nunhood as there's no evidence of sales seeing how, unsurprisingly unpriced items rarely do sell and usually are exchanged via the Steam market to counter this.
We don't base prices on things like that. We only base new prices on sales. Unfortunately for you there haven been no recent sales at all, so this has to stay unpriced for the time being unless an usable sale occurs.
I bought mine years ago off the Steam market and without a legitimate bp.tf price there never will be sales to base the value on so what happens if an item is 1 of 1, there never will be something else to grasp a price from so you have to compare it to equal effects... which I have done.
You don't have to compare it with other effects, you have to leave it unpriced.
There's no "have to" about it as that's just an opinion of yours like 35 keys is a fair opinion of mine considering the rest of the Nunhood prices, but at least the suggestion topic gets it spoken about as a three year old low tier effect Unusual 2/2 in the world really shouldn't be left priceless after so long.
Well you have 3 months to set a price after your purchase. If you miss that chance on a 1 of 1 item then yeah you have no chance in pricing unless another one gets unboxed. In this case, keep an eye on the seller on the SCM (here is his outpost trade for reference: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27469366 ).
Thanks for the advise but that sale has "EXPIRED DUE TO INACTIVITY" - Oh noes, being "held back" by the comunity, pfft... and so I'll just list it 0.01p cheaper than the dude on the Steam market then, as it really doesn't effect me making more than the 35 keys I was suggesting... it's almost as if you believe 35 keys is me making profit when I just want upriced items easier to sell x'D
You own one and your suggestion is backed by absolutely no proof. Your logic is pure price manipulation.
Proof Nuts & Bolts only ever sold on the Steam market without a Backpack.tf price - http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/440/Unusual%20Nunhood
Proof 35 keys isn't an unreasonable suggestion - https://backpack.tf/unusuals/Nunhood
Good luck proving which sale was nuts'n'bolts. Even then, you'd need to divide the total amount after tax by 2.5 as that's keys go for on the SCM.
35 keys is very inaccurate and there is no factual evidence to back your suggestion. So let's price it at 35 keys just "because"?
The cheapest one right now is Nuts & Bolts and he wants more than 35 keys for his, so what happens if an item is 1 of 1, logic... do you has it?
It's a buyer's market, your reasoning has absolutely no value. Why not show us what you've paid for it?
My reasoning has no logic when you're saying 1 of 1's can never have prices as there's nothing else to base the value on?... tell that to the guy asking for more than 35 keys for his right now on the Steam market, and why not you say, hmm... how about because I purchased the hood two years ago?... x'D
Additionally, you're doing a great job at putting words I've never said in my mouth; I never claimed 1 of 1 hats could never have a price, however you simply need sales to price hats, lest the suggested price is inaccurate as it's based off pure speculation and doesn't reflect the community. Keep deluding yourself into thinking you're right; you're only showing everyone how much of a clown with terrible investments you are.
Speak for yourself chief as your self righteous pseudo intellectual keyboard warrior presumptions are too cute, hey at least I'm not the clown assuming I invested in something without a bp.tf price rather than having it bestowed to me years ago meaning whatever I end up deciding to sell it for is technically a profit, one of ones wouldn't have other sales to base prices on so who's advocating speculation now, as you attempt to put words in my mouth accusing me of conglomerating a price manipulation when the suggestion is for far less than I could get for it elsewhere as the suggested price isn't pure speculation at all with many other Nunhoods at 35 keys and above available, and compared to the only other Nuts & Bolts Nunhood in existence that could be used as an example, well it happens that it's for sale right now on Steam for "Starting at: £58.58" meaning 35 keys is technaclly far cheaper than even the Steam tax negates and yet I've tried to manipulate the value huh meanwhile pricing is comparable with other Nunhoods, so you really think I care if this sugestion doesn't pass when it's worth more elsewhere champ, and yet I'm clueless at investments?... haha, and I must be if I'd accept 35 for something priced higher elsewhere ;D
And so Backpack.tf users are throwing a hissy fit that there's not actually legitimate proof available for this one as it's an oldschool cosmetic with few sellers for examples outside the Steam market, even if the 35 keys I suggested is comparable to around five or so other low tier effect Nunhoods and I could list this right now on the Steam market for just under 50 keys in £ and still be cheaper than the other dudes Nuts & Bolts on the market, so you can accept the price update or do not community, Fmotl makes money either way whatever you do, because you know, me suggesting a hat is worth 35 keys that I could earn 50 for... well it's just me being greedy of course x'D
Backpack.tf users are throwing a "hissy" because you're obviously trying to manipulate your hat's price in your own favor with ZERO EVIDENCE to back it. Nobody gives a damn about whether you make a profit or not, you're making yourself look like a child by arguing with strangers on the internet, and your profit is of fifteen bucks at most. What the hell do you think this is worth? You're wasting not only our time by spending your days creating proofless suggestions and throwing a "hissy" because it's wrong and you can't accept it, but only your own time by making through such great lengths to try to make a profit of fifteen dollars. Bahaha.
Haha oh yes but of course with an $800 inventory fifteen bucks on some random Nuts & Bolts is really holding me back, either way I could sell this for more elsewhere on more tightly run and updated rather than neglected community websites anyhow so you do the maths buster, trying to list something for 35 keys I could earn 50 on isn't "manipulation", it's inventory suicide... and yet who's really the one spending their time arguing here?... As I never proclaimed it was right, that's why it's a "suggestion" you spanner, no evidence exists because it's an old hat and nobody can do anything about that either way until one's unboxed and by that time it will be sold on the Steam market for way more than the 35 anyhow, deal with it.
Deal with it? What do you mean? You're the only one suffering from this suggestion being invalid-- it's irrelevant to me, I've tried to reason with you to show you why it is invalid but you seem to be too delusional. You're the only one arguing with the site's rules whether you like it or not to be honest, and you call other "spanners" yet you're the arrogant brat who acts provocative, offensive and childish over someone proving their suggestion to be wrong. Looking at your rep and how long you've had this hat for, it doesn't surprise me you're so desperate to get it priced at 35. That will never happen unless there's a sale, though-- you should get that in that small head of yours.
It's not provocation, spanner is a descriptive and accurate term for someone who acts far less than the sharpest tool in the box as you've proved nothing wrong actually and have only contributed to me deciding to accept the Steam market value and yet I'm suffering?... You realise this Nunhood is worth far more elsewhere and that 35 would be me accepting much less than that, right?... But of course, I'm the delusional one ^_^
