Why range with one sale?
Because it was sold on Steam Community Market.
The low end it's how much did the seller got.
The high end it's how much did the buyer paid.
If he calculated correctly, this range is valid.
Good logic, but unfortunately that does not apply here.
A range should be used only if there are more sales than one. SCM is only "supportive proof" in most cases too.
Your screenshot does not show the effect of the hat either, so nobody can be sure it was this effect.
SCM can be the principal proof (for unusuals) if there weren't other sales with TF2 or other game items in last 3 months.
And an unusual or a rare item can be priced with a range (even with only 1 sale) based on what i said in my other comment.

Wrong. You can have a range with one sale but only if the only valid sale is based of scm. Unusuals are the only items that can be priced directly of one scm sale with a range. M3C4NYKU already explained how the range is made.
