Apparently its Giang's alt, lol
So you're using a quicksell B/O to drop the price?
It's not a quicksell when it has been up for a month.
You of all people should know.
Even so, is using a B/O to drop a price allowed?
According to the rules, it's allowed.

However, the trader got banned and the trade got closed, so I'm not sure if this is valid.
I wonder why B/O can be used to drop price, but the B/O cannot be used to increase the price. Quite interesting.
The B/O can be used to drop a price as a lower B/O that's unsold shows that the current price is too high and it needs lowering - it's still inaccurate and should be properly updated when a sale comes around but it is more accurate than the current price.
However, a B/O cannot be used to increase the price as there is no proof from that B/O that you could raise the price - you need sales at this higher B/O to increase the price.
If this wasn't the case then people could very easily manipulate prices. People could ask for extortionate amounts on their unusuals and that would be a "valid" reason to bump up the price which logically it isn't.
You asked this same question a couple of days ago in the crone's suggestion http://backpack.tf/vote/id/57040265c4404518e871e617 and replied in a quite obnoxious way (which you immediately deleted) to my attempt to explain. Are you seriously asking this again here?
You're getting ahead of your mr. Face. "Obnoxious way" was not how I replied. I'm being critical because there's different ways to get around these rules and easily manipulate the prices for one's own gain. Which should be taken in deeper account. There are flaws and loopholes in some of the rules, they need to be addressed to. That's my point. Didn't know that though, thanks for the kind explanation @ Mighty Bob. Upvote.
Why would Silver try to manipulate the prices? He doesn't even own one..
I didn't specify Silver's name in any of this. I'm just pointing out one of the flaws of the system :)
He's still on the classifieds. Surely anyone who wanted this hat would've seen it by now.
And he's not banned, only from outpost.
Did not notice the classifieds. My bad.
I meant he was banned on OP. Since it's still on classifieds, I guess this is valid.
