Hello people , i really dont know how the previous suggestion passed in less than 24 h since the last sales (personal ones and much lower than the actual price.)

Bought the hat as part of overpay for mine Pugilist Protector (Secret to Everybody) which i was selling at 40 keys or overpay. The other 2 items are an aussie Tomislav (13keys) and a Orbiting Fire Helmet Without a Home (another 13 keys). The difference is 18 keys.Today i sold the hat for 20 keys.

Any counter suggestion or help appreciated. Thats my first unusual suggestion so i hope i did everything fine

The sale you mentioned should be used to update the Pugilist, it's invalid on it's own for the Gridiron.

the sale i mentioned is proof that the Gridiron is falsly upvoted for 36 keys in less than 24h since it was bought and sold for much less. And no i dont think its neceserelly used only for updating the Pugilist since the hat is involved in that trade as 18 keys of the total 44.

It is only for the pugilist because it would otherwise be bulk. And bulk sales are not reliable.

3 high tier with a standart price items as the unusuals and the australium above cant be considered bulk trade.

Yes it can. The item here is included as a smaller item for a larger item. Therefore we have a bulk deal.

I would also prefer that you capitalize and use proper grammar, so that we can read what you are trying to say more clearly

I can use perfect grammar in one of my 2 native languages but i dont think you would understand much.I dont feel im in an English class to be judged for any spelling or grammar mistakes so respect the fact that im writing in your language.Afterall you seem to understand perfectly what i write in here.So please stick to the vote and leave the grammar nazi stuff out. Since i have all the proof needed to show that the hat was not a sale below its previous price and furthermore it was a sale for more than its actual price i really dont know what else i can put as proof in here since we talk about a rare hat.

                Your proof is invalid

Your first sale is a BULK SALE. The pugilist is OUTDATED anyways and you would have to do a mini-suggestion for it, even if it was valid.

Your second sale was a QUICKSALE. Given a day or two, your trade would be SWARMING with offers, considering that you sold it for 20 in under one day. Both factors lead to the conclusion that your suggestion is INVALID. As you have been told by 2 experienced suggestors and a MODERATOR. Please close this before it gets closed by a mod.

I read again all the unusual voting rules , i dont see one saying that bulk sales are not considered as proof though. I also wrote that all offers i received where below the price i asked, so dont choose what to read but read ALL (you seem to like capital letters to put emphasis) things written in here.Foamy didnt wrote anything about bulk sales , he admitted he also offered me less than i asked and also didn't mentioned anything you write above but the quicksale .Possibilities of what offers may or may not have received in the future dont are a serious proof. What i have been offered and what i received for it , on the other hand , are. Yes i take under consideration every single word wroten in here and i thank all people that explained to me with proof that the voting is false or not.And no i wont close the voting cause you said so. I leave that to the moderators

Basically, if a hat is a small piece in a large deal, that sale should not be used as proof

Wow, this escalated quickly. I guess I'll jump in here

The point made about bulk deals is correct. Usually, sales where the item involved is less than 50% of the total trade, you get values that are often off by a rather large margin.

As an example: the secret pug is priced at 36 atm and you value it at 40 in your trade. difference is 4 keys (~10%). Using 36 in the trade you had will give 36-13-13 = 10. Using 40 will give 40-13-13 = 14. The same difference now gives an error of 30%. Additionally, sales like those are usually people overpaying for the larger hat. Using that for one of the lower hats almost exclusively gives values that are too low.

This sale definitely proves the secret pug needs a raise. Even at your proposed value, that sale easily caps at your selling value of 40.

In the comment below mine you mentioned like 5-6 offers that you received in what has to be a matter of hours and they are all at or around your selling value.

The reason why quicksales are excluded from price ranges is because they give low values. People that sell their hats for the first offer they get are usually desperate and not willing to have any patient in selling. If that offer was a pure one for the sellers buyout, it often means their buyout was far lower than what the hat can fetch. In your case, people were literally fighting over the hat at your buyout, meaning your buyout was far lower than it could fetch. Generally, if your buyout gets no attention at all, its probably high; if at your buyout, you get a ton of offers in a very short time, your buyout is probably low. For some people that offered, it may have been because of the backpack.tf prices, but I when I sold it, it was priced at 18, and I sold it in less than a day after listing for nearly double that.

The amounts of offers it got at your discounted value further supports that the old value was too low, and that the raise was definitely needed.

and that was actually what i needed to read. A nicely writen answer explaining what i did wrong. Thanks mate. So i guess its time for me to close the voting or should i leave that to you?

where is the range coming from then.

The actual price is 1 day old and i don't know why the range tho.

range is the 18 keys price i got it for and 20 the price i sold it. The actual hat price is false since the sales show otherwise. I didnt even had the chance to counter the previous suggestion since it was opened and closed in less than 24 h.

I personally left the suggestion open because a seller at 20 popped up, but it sold before I could even offer. Your sale for 20 was a QS, and I personally know you had multiple offers within a very short period of time since Ive sent you an offer myself as well :P

My sale for 20 wasnt a quicksell since the price of the hat was 18 a few hours ago.So it was sold for more than it was worth. The offers i got came after a few people saw that there is a voting for 36 keys. None of them offered more than 20 keys though . Proof from chat as well from offers received can be given if needed. Your offer was 19 keys by the way.

A quicksale does not depend on the current backpacktf price, especially not when said price is nearly a year old. You sold it within a few hours, and I know that whoever you sold it to wasnt your only offer:

I just realized I sent an offer with 19 instead of 20 (idk why, quite sure I selected 20 keys), apologies for that. I can tell you I didnt send you that offer because the price rose, I would be willing to pay that for any CV hat. When I sold it for the beams pug + stuff I was afraid I undersold it, and Id pay 20 again to whoever bought it from you in a heartbeat :P

If you can list an item for a few hours and have people fighting over it for that price, you can safely say that sale should be excluded for being too low

Well the truth is somewhere in the middle . I accept the fact that receiving many offers for an item make it highly desirable . I know also that people tend to offer for items which are sold for less than the price on an open voting and quicksell them when price is going down. You know that also. I can accept the fact that you made a mistake and offered less than a 20 because you wanted the hat , but i dont think the rest of the people that added me made the same mistake also.Got offered a prof collector original (about 18 keys) , another fellow trader offered me a sulphurous Cranium which if im not mistaken is voted for a middle range of 18 keys , got an offer of an overcloacked Ushanka which is 19 keys and a guy asked me why i quicksell my hat when its price is 36 keys (probably saw the trade after the previous voting was over and after i already sold it ). As you see only the one i sold the hat to offered me 20 keys i asked for. Not a single equal or overpay offer than that one.

It was a quicksale, it sold super super fast.
