Context about the first comment;

The assassination of Franz Ferdinand starts off with a group of Bosnians back in 1914 who wanted to liberate the country of Bosnia from Serbian rule. They had planned to assassinate Franz Ferdinand on a parade route he was travelling down with his wife. He was in the first car out of a four car parade.

The first assassin became a coward and didn't fire the shot, he missed his chance

The second assassin also became a coward and joined the first assassin

The third assassin however decided to throw a grenade at the car Ferdinand was travelling in. When he threw the grenade, the driver of the car saw the grenade and sped up, causing the grenade to bounce off Ferdinand's car and blow up underneath the 3rd car. The assassin then took his cyanide pill and to ensure his death, jumped into a nearby river. However, the cyanide pill was expired and just caused violent vomiting, and the river he jumped into was only 13cm deep due to a dry season, so he couldn't drown himself. He was yanked out of the river and arrested.

The rest of the assassins couldn't take their shot since the car raced through and gave up. Except for one person, Gavrilo Princip.

A few days after the attempted assassinations, Ferdinand wanted to visit the hospital for the victims of the grenade before returning to leave the country. However, no one notified the driver of the detour, and as such the driver drove the normal, requested route.

Gavrilo was hungry one day and decided to stop at a deli for a sandwich to cure some hunger he had brewing, he waited outside and just enjoyed the day as a normal Bosnian

As the car neared the deli, the car broke down and stalled right in front of Gavrilo Princip. Gavrilo looked in disbelief, then shot two bullets, killing both the Prince and his wife. He was arrested and jailed, and lived to see the world war he created.
