http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198117522318#!/compare/1459468800/1459555200 - 2nd sale is for a G Fetti Law
Fair, but the Law immediately resold for the Hazmat, making them equatable in value, no?
Well, the Law's price is current with 2 valid sales ~110 vs just the single sale with the Hazmat, so I'd consider 110 closer. Hazmat sale could've been used when the Law was priced, making the Law ~105, but that Law sale took less than a day. I think it was reasonable that they passed over it.
I mean, the actual sales in the law suggestion are at 107 and 108. Also, both that selling for unusuals never qualifies as a quicksell, and one of the sales used in that suggestion also sold as fast, so that logic is flawed.
Using 98-108 on the Law would give 103, which seems far closer to what I've got going on here. I will be resuggesting using that value once I get home.
I did not refer to the Hazmat sale as a quicksell. Anyone can sell their hat for unusuals without giving it sufficient time on the market to receive offers, resulting in a sale that isn't reflective of the hat's full value. It doesn't have to fit the definition of a quicksell to be less valid as a datapoint - outlier sales come in different forms.
So then looking at the two sales they used for the Law and the one sale they didn't, one sale ~100 went fast, one sale ~110 went fast, and one sale ~110 didn't. The second sale at ~110 gives reason to believe that the faster sale is still reflective of the hat's value. The sale ~100 doesn't have a supporting sale to tether itself to.
That said, I wouldn't argue against ~103, I just wanted to clarify my thought process. I said that they could've used the Hazmat sale when the Law was priced in my second post, and I meant it. Even if there isn't any additional support for 100, it's still reasonably close to the other two sales. 103 and 108 both seem like reasonable answers to me.
