That sale happened when translator was potentially allclass misc and not just alclass hat, so it was hyped. My B/O on that hat was 60 keys back then. Times changed, hype is dead, so now that sale couldn't be considered as anything but outlier.
Also, at that outpost trade previous owner has been offered with:

which are at least 55, and he declined

Hype was accounted for in the mini-suggestion. So that argument is invalid.
The headlamp mini is also evidently not valid, based on how quickly that suggestion closed.

I actually think the hype argument is a valid point in this specific situation, seeing how the sale happened before the official update made the hat an allclass hat, but not a misc. The hype had been announced and it was presented as potential allclass misc, in which essence its really hard to pinpoint a proper value on exchanges that happened in the brief moment between the update's announcement and the actual update.
I owned some translators around that time, so I've been following them around during the update and the process preceding it; in that same time, an atomic translator sold for 100 pure, and the offers i received on my subatomic one were significantly higher than they currently go for. Solid offers stopped coming after the update happened and ended up not making it a misc.
Since the specific date is relevant here, I would say that its best not to use this sale. Current may be too high, but I feel like this would be too low.
On a side note:
The AF halogen you were offered is a dupe. Dupes there sell signficantly lower than the clean one, since theres generally ~3-4 dupes on the market, and only one clean one. Its still likely above 45, though. last time I minied that, I ended up getting a value ~55
The mini was made during said hype. As I said. If you care to prove otherwise, please do so instead of closing this suggestion on conjecture.

No. May 17th was AFTER the actual update, i.e it was when the hat was no longer eligible to become a misc. People have invested in these, hoping for it to become an allclass MISC and it was then updated to become an allclass HAT. Logically, an item that people expect to become a misc sells a lot better than when that exact same item does not really become a misc.
