Let it ride.

    o god why

Im confused. So A sold it to lorkine and bought it back a day later?

Im highly skeptical here. This has been for sale for 600 for at least 4 months

      http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27538814

        *had

We all know closed B/Os don't count - unless you want to be the one to open THAT can of worms :3

thats not what Im saying (that person sold it for the 545, just to say that that was not a QS and to show its really weird that this suddenly became 1000 even tho it could not sell at 600 for at least 4 months. Although on a side note, such buyouts can be indications that certain values may be considered high)

My skepticism is towards the fact that one person sells this hat for 1000 and then buys it back for 1000 a day later. I doubt these were actual sales

            Bit suspicious :/

              ez manipulation

Its not that it couldnt sell for 600 for 4 months, he just did not want to let it go for unusual offers, he wanted pure and nobody could offer him pure except me. Now i sold it to lorkine for that crones because i liked the crones. But after selling it i realized fuck i like my vvf more, so i decided to buy it back and i do not intend to sell it again until someone comes along with a much better offer. And again, try buying any other vvf with darkblaze/hellfire for less than 1000 lol they are all with collectors.

Except he was offered 500 pure and asked for 600 to which it was never followed up on. Considering the actual amount of people that have at least 600 keys, it's not that nobody *could* offer him pure, it's that nobody wanted to. Not to mention he was actually willing to let it go for mixed, I was possibly going to buy it but ended up buying something else, and he even said on the trade he was willing to accept mixed, provided it was a good offer.

Be that as it may, backpack.tf aims for pure values anyway. The kind of payment he was looking for does not really matter in this case. Any person that would have wanted this could have sold their hats for pure to buy it; 6 months should be enough time for that.

Hats being with collectors also isnt really relevant for backpack pricing. up to a week ago, anyone that would want to try to buy a vvf with darkblaze could have done so with 600, or evidently with 545.

I've discussed the matter with the other moderators as well. The situation here is just too shady. Anyone that owns a 1:1 hat can sell it for twice its actual value to then buy it back for about the same value to artificially raise the value of their own items. Normally, tradeback sales are not considered for suggestions, since they do not display a common trading point; they display a trade that neither party ended up being happy with. In this situation, you indirectly bought a frostbite crones with the crown, pullover, antlers and mining light. The vvf appears to have functioned as collateral while at least one of both parties was still considering a deal as it turns out.

I'm definitely not comfortable pricing this based on these sales. I would personally vouch for 545 as closer to its actual value, but since that suggestion was closed, I guess this'll stay unpriced until another sale happens.
