Sale #2
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So the deal between Me, Jolo, and Spiffy goes as follows.
-Spiffy (BOA Owner) Listed the BOA for $175 on the market.
-Jolo (My friend) Bought it off the Steam Market
-After Jolo bought it I sent Spiffy 8 CSGO keys to compensate for the amount the steam market takes.
Math time:
- I bought 9 TF2 Keys off Marketplace.tf ( http://imgur.com/TGezwsa ) for $2.05 each or $18.45
- I traded 9 TF2 Keys + 6 Ref for 8 CSGO Wildfire keys ( http://imgur.com/1Qd7JCX ).
- Using bp.tf to price Ref at $.10 that means the 8 CSGO keys are: $18.45 + $.6 = $19.05
- Spiffy listed the BOA for $175 on the Market (http://i.imgur.com/rrddR9Z.png)
- This means Jolo payed $175 and Spiffy recieved $152.19
- Right after Jolo buys, I trade Spiffy the 8 CSGO keys ( http://imgur.com/CTRKfMP ) (Not sure if this is eligible as +trust for me)
- Now adding in the CSGO keys to the low value (The keys are to compensate for the amount the Market keeps) $152.19 +$19.05 = $171.24
- Low value: $171.24 / $2.05 = 83.53 keys. This fits the range
- High value: $175 / $2.05 = 85.26 ---> Rounding to 85
Yeah, it's a lot. Be sure to let me know if I messed up any part of it. Should be good though
Inb4 25 buds. Though can't recall if unusuals can he refreshed with this small a change before the 3 month mark, I think it was something like 5 percent or less changes. Someone can correct me on this though.
Below 5% change, though..
Unusual's have to have a 15% change, But still your right.
Oh, I don't know about that. I thought every items must have at least 5% change except the currency ones. Thanks for correcting
No problem.
That only applies to unusuals being dropped using sellers only, I am not an expert when it comes to unusual suggestions but I think this should be fine.
Just to clear up the % change rule thing people are talking about:
- The absolute threshold there is two months rather than three
- There's a solid percentage listed in the rules (its 5%); the 15% listed only goes as an absolute minimum for BO drops or quickbuyer raises
Note that this is a guideline rather than a solidly enforced rule. It is meant to prevent the suggestion log being clogged with pointless suggestions that would induce a change from like 100 to 100-102 with a new sale that happened a few days after the first suggestion was made; such suggestions are redundant.
The 15% change rule for BOs or quickbuyers - whether its for outdated hats or not (nearly all suggestions that would be valid as BO drops are severely outdated, though) - is meant to avoid suggestions to change an old, outdated price to an updated price that still isnt accurate: i.e a hat that is outdated at 90 that cant sell at 85 for a couple of months is obviously too high at 90, but the odds are that 85 is still too high. It may very well need a larger drop.
As for this particular case, the old suggestion is now 3 months old. This can suffice as a refresh, since the time between both suggestions is more than 2 months. The sale from the last suggestion is now outdated, as this has been open for a while. The new sale showed that current is fine, so this is basicly an extention of the validity of the last accepted suggestion, which - as said - is okay now that the time between both sales/suggestions has been significant.
