SCM sits right around this price.
"I would prefer to keep these items priced based on SCM which will be automatically refreshed / accurate. If a suggestion is made, they will be updated a lot more infrequently and more likely inaccurate. I think this does more harm than good on items <10 keys in value." -polar

The problem with the SCM is that it's price isn't really that accurate. At any given time, it's based on the lowest seller, not recent sales, which really is against the most important "how to create a suggestion" rules. SCM and sites like TF2Outpost and bacpack.tf are also two very different markets based on very different key values. Almost every item on the SCM over $2.50 could be bought for as little as 70% of SCM prices if you know who to buy your keys from (and tons of people do). Not to mention SCM charges bookoo taxes on every purchase, which means for the most part that SCM is much more a "buy to keep" kinda model in contrast to Outpost and backpack.tf which can be either "buy to keep" or "buy for profit".
Any any case, by the looks of that suggestion, he's probably only talking about suggestions based on SCM sales, not ones based on actual key trades.
Also just noticed polar's comment here: http://backpack.tf/suggestion/578a47f583de6b083804c405
Oh, alrighty then, upvote. :D
(Btw, I honestly agree with what you said and disagree with polar here, just wanted to warn everyone and maybe even help polar a bit.)
Just to clarify, as long as item sales are being used to set a price, I'm okay with it. Just don't think it makes sense to price using SCM sales when it's already being automatically updated based on the SCM value.
This only applies to "unpriced" items.
