gotta side with meme machine on this. buyer for 23 on classies http://tinypic.com/r/qn8e2c/9 his ad does say 25-35% discount he's buying at so technically 25 would fit , sold for pure in just under a week with crappy bumps and no bp listing? seems really quicksale-ish after all thats like 25% off :s would like to see another sale to justify it

Just because the seller claims that it's a quicksell doesn't mean that it is one.

He was selling it for a discounted price... obviously it was a quicksale or he wouldn't have claimed it to be one

There once was a voting on the forums what was the most wrongly used term, guess what term won, quicksell, people say a lot of stuff, but that doesn't count as proof, if it took 1 week to sell then it's definitely not a quicksell.

Lol clearly you know nothing about trading then. If I could sell any unusuals in only a week each for full pure i'd sell them at any reasonable price :p

I disagree. If you go to the classifieds right now I guarantee that there will be tons of unsold low tiers for a week+ that are asking full pure. Asking for full pure on an item can take months usually yet this hat sold easily in a week at its price of 25. Surely that should be considered as a quicksale :/

At least make sure you're right before saying that kind of stuff. For low tiers, quicksale means a few days, certainly not a week. I often end up selling low tier unus in 24 hours for pure even though it's full price. And like Salvage said, most people use "quicksell" stupidly, and think that because they're doing a mere discount, it can be called as such. Everyone can say they are quickselling, but few actually are quickselling. Are you going to tell me too I don't know shit about trading ? Can't wait to hear that really.

Theres a pretty big difference between you quickselling an item and him quickselling an item. For instance, you have auto bumping for outpost AND backpack.tf. Yet this guy doesn't even advertise his items on backpack.tf and seems to rarely even bump his trades on outpost. Surely this would take a significantly longer amount of time to sell even as a quicksell without the proper mauverment to efficiently sell the item

First, bp.tf is really not the main site where to trade unusuals, and bumping there is not relevant because items are ranked by price.

However, the inactive argument does work. What I don't understand, is why you invoke what the seller said, which is NOT, and NEVER will be, proof of anything, (if I'm writing "I'm quickselling a nuts and bolts pugilist protector for 100 keys", it sure isn't an actual quicksale, just me being a lying piece of... you get the idea) instead of the fact one week is, for this guy, "quicker" than for someone like me for instance.

So, okay. However, I don't see any actual proof the guy doesn't bump often - and the fact he is not premium is not a proof of that.

Just a heads up as I see this turning into a discussion again:

Quicksales are not only determined by a time factor, but are also determined by how a sale relates to other sales. We cant omit all pure sales in under a week as QSes, as much as we dont remove all sales higher than a week old seller because of said seller. Items get ranges for a reason. a week time is not that fast for a hat around this value.

In this case, this will be fine if no other sales occur
