If you paid above or equal to the B/O, the sale is capped at 30 regardless. Bp.tf prices are meant to reflect an item's value in pure, and given that he was willing to accept 30 pure, your overpay is rounded down to that value. The Mongolian is only valued at 30.5 anyway since spells aren't counted here.
