Old price, definitely not worth 102 anymore. Both of the two Kabutos are duped (if that makes much difference).
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/22101694 - Bought this one for a Roboactive Fukaamigasa and 2 other unusuals worth 15 keys each at most (I could be wrong, feel free to correct me on this).
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27115402 - Sold it for a Strange Smoking Law (duped as well). The Smoking Law was then sold for a Blizzardy Storm HKC (was worth 70 - 75 keys at the time). http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27382746 + http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/25449083
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27516442 - B/O of 70 keys
http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/27532489 - B/O of 73 keys (according to the trade description, this dude clearly has no shame in owning a duped hat)
Feel free to give me feedback and tell me whether you agree or disagree with this new price range. Thank you, and have a nice day. ;)
They're not "both" duped, 2 of 3 are duped and its only flagging as 2 because the 2 duped ones share a history. That's how dupes work.

There is the clean one, and because there's a clean one you cannot drop the price using a dupe. Downvote.
The clean one belongs to a collector, and I remember trying to buy it from him almost 2 years ago. This Kabuto, and any cleans ones that will appear in the future, will probably possess the price of 75 keys. It's Eerie Orbiting Fire, not Green Energy or Death at Dusk.
No. It's unfair to the owner to drop the value of their clean item based on duped sales. You cannot drop an item using duped sales unless every instance of the item is duped. End of.
This is all conjecture anyway, as highlighted below there are additional reasons why this suggestion is invalid. Namely all your proof being ancient.
So we keep it at 102 because that very Kabuto is as far away from the market as possible? There is a much higher probability of you ever being offered a duped one.
Too bad. We don't drop with dupes.
Great scrap.tf material here ;)
I get a bad taste in my mouth out here... aluminum... ash... like you can smell a psychosphere.
As people have said, evidence from 3+ months ago is not useful in pricing the hat today. All the evidence in here is from 8 months to 1 year+ old. Please have a good read over the guide before making another suggestion: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-guide-for-unusual-price-suggestions/
You need to put in compare links, showing that he sold.
You mean "showing what he sold it for"? Also, give me a sec.
Yes. Because you never know if he sold for less than his buyout.
I was trying to find what the guy with the 70 key B/O sold the Kabuto for, and may continue searching. The guy who put it up for a B/O of 73 keys bought it from him.
Not really needed, but they're just so helpful that they're almost mandatory to be included. That's not the main problem here though, the sales provided are super outdated. One of them was from 2014, even.
Welp 2bad...
I didn't notice that. What a discovery. *ba dum tss*
Edit: I included the sales that mattered most, in my opinion. The hat travelled between bots for events that I assumed were related to giveaways or something along those lines, or maybe just trades in general. Some of the owners didn't even have any trades up, so gathering evidence would take even longer. I respect that people want to help the TF2 community with pricing but, in my opinion, you don't need to spend half an hour or more on something like this. Anyways, thank you for your response.
Anything older than 3 months is invalid as evidence. That is to say, every link in your suggestion.
Sorry buddy, this isn't going through. Please read the rules. And also disliking comments doesn't make them go away.
The evidence that goes back more than 3 months ago is far better, and more reliable, than anything we could take from the recent trades. The only sale that could have any potential in this suggestion is Christopher's. This hat needs a new price. Even if rules are rules, with few exceptions, I think the new price of the hat could only do more good than bad in comparison with the current one of 102 keys.
If you wanna update the hat, then you wait for new sales.
We wait, and when we do wait we unintentionally mislead newer, inexperienced traders into making bad deals and, again, unintentionally influence the act of sharking. I don't think we should wait for new sales.
Not humouring this any more, a mod will close it soon. Read the rules.
You shouldn't be backseat moderator in the first place. Mods have allowed suggestions like this with exceptions before, if I recall, and hopefully this one will pass and people won't be misleaded into thinking this Kabuto is worth as much as my own Death at Dusk Kabuto.
Mods have accepted suggestions involving dupes when the clean version hasn't sold for years. I have never seen them allowing sales older than 3 months, and that's what's wrong here.
Replacing an old price with another old price won't fix anything. The hat would appear to be indate at 72.5 when it's still outdated, and that would really mislead everyone using the site.
why are you telling a black belt whats wrong and what isnt? like what?
A black belt in price suggesting? Lmfao. Pretty depressing that people actually strive for shit like that.
The thing is that you are trying to price the Kabuto today. Using sales that happened last year is not reliable at all. It's pretty much like leaving the outdated price as it is right now.
Rules are there for a reason. Sales older than 2 months (or 3 months if certain conditions are met) are invalid, no exceptions.
No compare links? okay. and you cant drop an item due to duped sales -.- . dude i see you commenting on everyones suggestions telling them that they are right and wrong and what not to do and what to do, yet you dont even know how to make a proper suggestion. and you're using outdated sales? smh.
downvote
Adorable, kiddo. You get pissy because I corrected you over your suggestion or whatever, so you go and attack me. Deny it all you want, I know you did it for that very reason. Move on, you lolcow.
I mean you can correct me on my other ones if you wanna
edit : if you find anything wrong just let me know. maybe you could correct some other orange belts.. idk
