Recently I saw the price of the Sunbeams Strontium was changed.
For the hat, I in theory payed 40 keys. The owner of the hat wanted one of several spy hats ( http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/28392974 ), one of them that he wanted was a Terror-Watt Hat of Cards.
The only seller of the hat at that time was this person:

The seller of the hat of cards was asking for 40 keys in pure. For his hat I offered my Terror-Watt Horrific Headsplitter which is worth 36 keys, and I also included 4 keys to cover the remaining total. He accepted the offer. I effectively payed 40 for the hat.

I then traded the unboxer of the Strontium for the hat, plus sweets that we had not discussed about, unexpected and quite scummy.

The hat I bought is also strange, I don't know if that makes a big difference when trading unusuals. So that is why I add no extra value to the hat.
I am still not experienced with price suggestions, so criticism is welcome.
Last updated 2 days ago, I think you'll need a range.
It was priced off this sale. This suggestion is completely unnecessary.
Oh yeah sorry about that I thought the T.W. was 40 keys.
No, you paid 30 keys. Your TW Hat of Cards was in date at 30 keys and you 1:1'd it for the Stovepipe, therefore the value of this hat can't exceed 30 keys.
Well the screenshot showed that ~1.5 in items were added to the HoC, making the effective sale 31.5 (rounding to 32).
Im not opposed to fixing this based on that, but you cannot value the hoc at 40 here. Since the HoC is in-date at 30, you'll have to use that price.
Ah okay, thank you man!
I might steal this one if the OP doesn't resuggest in a day or so.
Yeah; I'll give OP some time to fix. Ill message you if he has not resuggested in a day or so
Sounds like a plan.

He has shown no interest in resuggesting. You have a go :P
How do you want me to re-suggest? If I only add one or two keys to the value I wouldn't consider it worth my time as a price on this hat is meaningless.
Oh okay, I assumed since I payed 40 for the HoC and then immediately trading it for the Strontium, I would have payed in theory 40 for the strontium.
For hats that are outdated, you can use specific purchases to give a value to the hat involved, but for hats that were recently updated, you can not, unless you have a very compelling reason to do so.
In this case, the HoC was recently updated with two sales at 30. There's also a current seller at 30, so 30 for the HoC is definitely a proper estimate.
If you want to resuggest this, you can do so at 32 keys, which would fix the last suggestion by adding the sweets that were missed by the previous suggestion.
No, I'll just leave it. Thanks for the knowledge.
