29 is outlier due to quicksell. Going with 36 flat
The, "quicksell" sold for unusuals though.
It quicksold though, why should that matter?
See my response to Salvage.
Just to stop any further arguments on this topic, yes you can quicksell for unusuals: http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-guide-for-unusual-price-suggestions/?p=496383
Maybe you should actually read what you're quoting. "Outliers are defined by deviation from the mean NOT the time it takes to sell."
The seller was quickselling for pure. In this case, his trade wasn't open long enough for that B/O to be considered valid to cap at, so the sale should be treated as usual. Especially since it sold for somewhat significantly over his quicksell B/O.
A range with these two sales would be far more appropriate. There is no concrete "!law" on what is and isn't a quicksell, and you're deluding yourself if you think there is.
Your only argument appeared to be the fact that you supposedly can't quicksell for unusuals, that is not the case so I corrected you, I haven't really looked any further into this, I was only countering your original comment.
You basically can't quicksell for unusuals though. You're reading into what polar has actually said.
It's not guaranteed, but its bad suggesting practice to assume otherwise.
If I owned a 50 key unusual and really wanted a 40 key unusual, couldn't I say on my outpost, "quickselling for x unusual?" If it sold a day, wouldn't that be considered a quicksell?
If you were after a specific cheaper unusual, yes I would consider that a quicksell. But how often does that actually happen, really.
People who don't care about profit and just want a hat to have forever?
again, this is a condition that would be very obviously spelled out in the trade notes / offer.
In the case of "oh this sold quickly so it's a quicksale", with no other context, it's almost unheard of to quicksell for unusuals.
Not really going to comment on what qualifies as a "quicksell" because I don't believe in the term itself. Sometimes people get lucky - right place, right time - and sell a hat for pure right after listing. Doesn't nullify the sale. Outliers are defined by deviation of the value from the mean. I think 29 should be included in the range here but accepting since I won't go against the votes.
