https://backpack.tf/item/2040114299 - 1 month
Alternatively, his OP trade: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/28463414
i've just noticced that you just made 5 suggestions on this hat to go down.wot?
after seeing the proofs, they seem good.are there anymore sales or nah?upvote in either ways though
Nope, none of them have sales on them. ^^
thx for answering although i feel bad for owners who has these now.but this is kinda normal as i have aalso faced this once
y u hittin all marty's stahlhelms??
thing is for every 25 keys over 25 keys, the generally accepted practice is + 1 weeks. so about 2 months unsold at this would be what I would expect before seeing a drop based on a buyout in this range right?
According to http://forums.backpack.tf/index.php?/topic/6033-guide-for-unusual-price-suggestions/ it appears to cap at 1 month.
"For all other hats, the trade must be up for at least a month in order to price them based off the b/o. "
ye. i know what it says... but in practice. obviously attempts have been made and failed to drop hats more than 15%, in the 200 key range after a month. suggestions left open for an additional month... etc... 150 is kinda a grey area i guess it could work, just seems kinda dickish before at least 6 weeks. u know? staying neutral for now on it till it ages a couple more weeks anyways
no offense but suggestions like these are pretty unfair for the owner. that is just my unpopular opinion
The thing is, this is a pricing site, not tumblr, this may sound mean (it's not supposed to ;P) but we don't really care about feelings, we're trying to reflect the pure values of hats.
yea i know, i just wanted to mention it
You should most likely post stuff like that on the forums ( http://forums.backpack.tf/ ), you can actually expect reponses there.
The following goes for all these stahls:
I would wait for them to sell. similar to how I dont like to use buyers to raise unusual prices, I dont like using sellers to drop things when sales are bound to happen. Many of these will probably end up selling for these amounts in pure, but I see no reason not to wait until they sell before suggesting them.
On many, they'll end up being the only sale in a while (as its a collector selling his collection), so its not crucial for other suggestions to do this prior to them selling either.
Im aware that the rules state you can do it etc., and you can leave them open if it pleases you, but it feels like unnecessarily rushing updates to me.
I generally disagree with what you said here, to my knowledge the site tries to capture the pure values that hats sell for among the community, those prices are supposed to be accurate, following that these hats should be updated with a newer, more accurate price asap, especially since you expect them to sell for pure sooner or later anyways.
Ik that for higher tier/rare hats the value displayed on the site only reflects the latest sale and is supposed to keep track of what these hats sell for, but if a hat doesn't manage to sell in a month for a significantly lower price than the one displayed on backpack.tf and has a two year old price it should be obvious that change is very needed.
Also, there is no harm done in updating these hats prior to them selling, it only gives them a more accurate value sooner (which logically is the better thing, right?).
There is, because it jeopardizes the sellers' chances of selling for what he wants. Backpack.tf influence is not to be under-estimated: a hat priced 277, no matter how outdated, will sell more easily for 150 pure than a hat priced 150. Suggestions should report sales, not influence them. Plus, as someone said, it's kind of a dick-ish move: let the seller deal with his item, and then we'll price the stahlhelm. There is no need to rush it.
Well there are a bunch of different situations in which BO drops can be inaccurate, for various different reasons (both where they'd end up being too high and where they'd end up being too low). Not gonna name them all since they dont all apply here.
Say this ends up selling for 140 in a while after this gets accepted. You'd need to make a new suggestion at 140 to reflect what it actually sold for. This middle step seems super-redundant to me.
honestly, this is to much to drop for this. prolly should wait for more sales
and are you targeting marty birdman?
Definetely sounds like it.
Btw. Why are you targeting Marty? Smh. Didn't think black belts did this too.
