    Isnt it duped?

      It is

And that Guy is selling for 250

        Quickselling

duped is ok cuz the Clean one isnt traded for like a year now, and he is not even Selling it for a week so i didnt include it, if he cant sell for a month we can Make new suggestion

Except when the clean one is absolutely not on the market.

Sucks if a kid that doesn't know prices unboxes one and sells it based of the duped price (that could well be 250 if the other doesn't sell).

                Eh

That's another matter. There is actual precedent where dropping with a duped item did happen, even though clean ones existed, not only because it was not on the market, but also because the owners were completely inactive on Steam. I do not know if that's the case here. Was just saying that, it may be okay to drop with a duped. I know it because it already happened.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, not shitting on the suggestion or your comment.

Think it's just a flaw in the rulebook, a lot of newly all-classed hats are being repriced asap to protect the inexperienced unboxers but a drop based on dupes because of inactivity of the clean one is allowed.

Well, you have to consider this from all sides here. Yes, it's possible that a new one gets unboxed and that it's value is not adequately reflected with the duped hat price. BUT that's a big "if." It may or may not happen any time soon. What we do know for sure is that the duped one is being passed around, and it's not selling at the listed price. I think the greater value here is in informing traders now about its value - a sure thing - than preparing for the hypothetical situation that another one gets unboxed soon.

We have to pick and choose our battles and do what we think is genuinely the best thing for the community. There are always going to be pros and cons. The rules are far from perfect but they are what we genuinely believe to be in the best interest of the most number of people.

My opinion on this is that not only does the hat have to be off the market for a year+, but the owner of the hat has to be inactive in trading for a year+.

I don't want to punish an active trader for wanting to keep a hat. Both clean owners have been basically inactive for over a year.

Yeah, I'm staying neutral for now until he sells it.
