Thanks to slavage for pointing out my mistake 1 of 3, 1 recent sale . A pretty dank hat. Sold 1:1 for kill a watt antlers. Capped at 150

Where exactly are you getting the prices from? The Frostbite Muffs was recently updated at 177.5, and the Bubbling Cotton needs another mini (probably around 40 judging by sellers), which puts the duped Antlers below 140.

You are supposed to use the most recent price. Use what you sold the Cotton for as a mini (if it's above 40, you should cap it at 40), and the Antlers sale will be fine to use.

I never understood that. Why wouldnt you use the price during the time it was traded, rather than the price afterwards? (Or most recent at least)

Backpack price doesn't necessarily reflect the value of hat at a given time. That's why unusual prices are no longer usable in suggestions if they are more than 3 months old. You would be pricing a hat today (the Pillar) with old sales from the Muffs that occurred 4+ months ago, which wouldn't be as accurate as using recent sales.

Anyways, if you read the unusual suggestion guide you will see that "The values of items in a trade should be the "value" of the item at the time of the trade". Just take in account that "value at the time of the trade" doesn't mean "backpack price at the time of the trade". There are some examples there that should help you understand:

Also, you can have recent sales proof, and it's possible the price still won't be "accepted". Keep that in mind when actually trading a hat. Use your own price..moral of the story.
