This hat has a 2 year old price. ~20 keys is incredibly outdated.

I recently won this hat in a spycrab, because the previous owner was literally unable to sell it for close to the listed price. After obtaining this hat I spent a couple days trying to sell for 15 keys here on BP.TF. I was unsuccessful. I was also unsuccessful selling it for 15 keys on the SCM.

The previous owner, Mr. Bucket tried to sell this for 20 keys on tf2outpost. He had it listed for over 4 months and received NO OFFERS http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/28443944

I sold the hat for 13 keys pure. Was quite evidently not what you kids call a "quick sale"

Considering it too him that long to sell, his buyout was 13, very outdated and think that it is the only recent sale. It is an upvote from me.

Additionally, if you offer this unusual to r+ubi he may not pay the listed price due to there being an open suggestion.

Just searched through the premium database. It appears that there are only 2 recent sales (1 is a spycrab according to you) so that leaves us with 1 valid sale. Upvote.

Don't think you can cite that. He has basically every effect of every unusual on there. No one can keep track of every price. Also that price is likely based off of the current price and thus is the same issue we have here. Not updated in years. He's been quickbuying with that google doc for well over a year now.

The real question is, why didn't you sell it to r+ubi when he was clearly buying it for more?

He's a known quickbuyer, the only reason we'd call him invalid would be if he actually wasn't buying for his listed price.

He may be somewhat known but you'd be surprised how many quicksells I find only to give them to r+ubi the following day for a higher price. Probably the biggest reason why everyone doesn't go to him is because he lists all of his prices on a spreadsheet and I guess it isn't as easy to find as just searching on outpost for a quickbuyer

First I did not know about his spreadsheet. Second, he is a known user who deals with scammers. I don't trade with users like this so even If i had known about this spreadsheet I wouldn't have traded him, anyway.

To each his own I suppose, won't argue with you on that one.

Although it doesn't really change the fact that the new owner could easily resell it for a few refined more than what he purchased it for, with that sale counting as a valid quicksale. This will likely be up for a while unless it's not resold.

+ he can find a guy who can "beat any quickbuyer" and pay even more than 13.2 keys

Also Toad buying any 19-20 keys unusual for 14-15 keys here:

                    I easily found him here

Until this suggestion was made, I was getting multiple offers of 14 keys, even 14.77 keys.

I personally think it should be worth 13-14. But there are no sales of 14 so i can't reasonably update to that. This is the only sale in ages and 13 keys. The price should be updated because 20 keys is absolutely horrible price

The fact that I was getting offers of up to 14.77 keys when I was QSing it suggest otherwise.

A couple days? Unusuals often take way more time to sell. In unusual price suggesting, less than a week is considered quicksell. You gotta have some patience mate.

Previous owner tried for 4 months advertising on bp.tf and tf2outpost and didn't receive any offers of either keys or unusuals which are in the 19-23 range. Heck, he didn't even get an offer worth 15 keys because he received No offers, at all.

Not really. One week for very low tier unusuals is not quicksell material.

How can you say the previous owner received no offers at all when the first comment is an offer? Not only that, but he likely got various trade offers

That being said there is a BIG BIG difference between selling that hat for 20 keys and 13 keys

ur right. i didn't even see that. So 1 offer in 4 months. Previous owner also said in PM that 13 keys was a good price for the hat as he had received no offers in "forever" once I told him what I sold it for.

Like kostek said, you can't just infer he didnt get any offers because theyre not on the OP thread. He likely got some offers via steam trade offers within the 4 month time period. Neutral.

He said he didn't to me in PM. Regarding private offers that's another story. obviously I have no clue about those. i'll ask and upload proof (hopefully) when he gets online.

How much would scrap.tf pay for the hat? As when I checked what I would have gotten for an unusual of mine worth 20 and I would have gotten more than 13 from scrap for it?

                      Usually 20% to 30% bp.tf price apparently

Scrap.tf dropped his prices, but it pays 11 keys for my 17-19 keys unusual. Maybe 12-13

As the buyer, I can confirm I bought it for a QS price.

You literally said yourself in the chat "this price is 2 years old it's not worth anywhere near 20 keys." I was not advertising it as a quicksell and you specifically said the 13 keys was not a quicksale to begin with. If I had thought i was going to make a price suggestion after selling the hat, I would have screenshotted that. this is 100% nonsense >.>.

Sorry, I did mention that the price was old, but I didn't say any of those other things. It was definitely a QS.

You did. You said that as a QS you'd pay 9-10 keys. I said I wasn't looking to QS it so you said you'd offer 13. I mean i'm not angry if i got a bad deal. I don't think i could have gotten more, honestly, but i do specifically remember this.

I'm sorry, but unless you can actually show me the trade chat where I said something like that, it was 100% a QS.

I still think it should be worth more than 13 keys. I just sold mine for a strange professional killstreak australium grenade launcher with strange parts, valued at 20.5 keys and a schadenfreude, valued at 1 key. Tell me if that link works.

                          https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198090618622/tradeoffers/sent/?history=1

That link doesn't work, here's the comparison link however: http://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198283872395#!/compare/1483920000/1484006400

So we have an argueably quicksale at 13, and a sale at ~16. Yeah 16 flat would be the better price here, this should be resuggested.

16 flat seems a bit much. I don't see anyone ever paying 16 pure keys for this hat. It just won't happen.

But didn't I basically just do that? Not counting the schadenfreude, I was able to instantly sell the australium for 16 keys. Isn't that good evidence for 16 keys being at least the maximum price?

and in 4 months there were no offers close to 16 keys so isn't that evidence of it being less than 16 keys? You got lucky to get an item worth 16 keys. But, again, no one paid 16 pure keys for the hat.

I mean, I got an offer for items worth more than 20 keys in less than 2 days by just joining a trade server, but I can't speak for the other guy. XD
