I paid 105 keys pure and $270 USD.
We took keys at $1.85 each, so thhat's ~145 keys.
Total of the sale is 250 keys.
Rolling with 250 flat.
Thanks tons to Ravenholmzombies for selling my this gorgeous piece and to Lila Mond for loaning me a fuck ton so I could afford this. You two are the realest.
Sorry HarryG, this one's mine.
Damn SpotlightR it just keeps growing and growing.
Congrats on the purchase my friend ^^
You are crazy, I like that.
Congrats on the purchase :P
Damn right.
Hey, sorry man. Trades involving raven cannot be used for the purpose of suggestions. It is explicitly stated on his profile.
Awh what a joke.
that's a bad rule
He worked damn hard to buy this 1 of 1 collectors item only to be told he can't price it cause the dude that owned it price manipulated one item a year ago
He would not be permabanned if he manipulated one item. It was a pattern of behavior involving multiple items. And the ban that he has now is not his first ban.
it doesn't seem to be the sale was really manipulated.
If there is enough proof I feel like its kinda fair. But again I'm not a backpack.tf mod so...
You're probably right that the sale is not manipulated. There's no "need" to manipulate collector items now that the demand is so much higher than supply. But two years ago there was no demand for these items. These used to be really hard to sell. All the issues happened then.
We give everyone the benefit of the doubt here. When someone submits a suggestion, we first assume that they are being honest. When someone betrays that trust, not once but multiple times for personal gain, we come down really hard. I know it sucks for people buying the items from him. That's why we explicitly say on his profile no suggestions can be made in case people really care about backpack value. But if you purchase it anyways, there's nothing we can do about it. We won't make exceptions for it.
Congrats! That being said, if this one gets accepted, the ban notes here will have to be updated: http://backpack.tf/u/76561197976440654
Edit: dat polar ninja.
It seems like this rule is extremely unnecessary as ravenholmzombies has really nothing to gain since he's already perma banned and it just punishes those who do any business with him. Spotlight bought it and has proof of purchas therefore meeting the required criteria.
How is this punishing anyone? We're not banning someone for trading with him. He's a collector intending to keep the milkman. Shouldn't matter if it gets priced or not.
Further, he's just pricing the chem set. So when he makes the collector item it would be unpriced sitting in his bp anyways.
A sale is a sale. Just because someone did something a long time ago doesn't mean price suggestions can't be made with a certain persons trades.
If a person lied about sales, especially in paypal transactions, then a sale is not a "sale." I would never trust any transaction involving that person in any suggestion ever again. I don't think any of you people realize just how bad the manipulation was that we're talking about and I'm honestly not sure why there's so much backlash here. (1) Lying in suggestions about the actual trade, (2) getting other traders to trade more keys for a trade than actually happened so it looks like more keys were traded and then trading keys back later. If anything I would have expected people to be reassured that we don't let suggestions through involving clear manipulators who have only one goal in mind - to maximize their own profit.
