Thanks =)

    SMG = small machine gun?

    My world has been turned upside-down... D:

      it means sub-machine gun though o.o

        Either could work

        I prefer if either worked ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

      What I said on your other suggestion also applies here; the only traceable sale here seems to have sold in bulk: https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198308976829#!/compare/1485043200/1485129600

      https://backpack.tf/profiles/76561198068199194#!/compare/1484870400/1485129600 It sold with the SF Sandvich and SF Flare Gun here, same ID and same history.

      These kind of suggestions won't be accepted without any actual sales.

        I have used this "technique" multiple times on many suggestions, all of them have passed swiftly. They're sales simple as that. Moved from one inventory to another. I've shown a Screenshot of what they listed for and I have listed the history links of those items.

        Whoops! We have history for this item, but we don't have it on record as currently existing. It's likely something has happened to it:

        It may have been traded to an inventory that has not yet been parsed or accessed on the site. - Still Sold one way or the other

        It may have been deleted. - Doubt It with Bots

        It may have been moved to a private inventory where we are unable to track it. It will reappear again whenever we find it again. - Still Sold one way or the other.

          Well, bots are a little bit different from regular traders. They have fixed prices for their items. That means that if you buy in bulk, you still have to pay the individual price listed to get the item. So the value of SF smg in the trade is still definitely 12.66 ref and exactly 12.66 ref flat. The same obviously wouldn't apply to a regular trader selling items on outpost where people will give discounts for buying in bulk and you cannot parse out the value of each item.

          I actually think it's even fine to include trades where the person pays the bot in items at a fixed buying price that the bot has available because all the buying and selling prices are explicitly stated and are fixed.

            My point was that not all sales sell for exactly the listed price here. t's not uncommon to find a bulk sale where the buyer paid a bit more to the bot just to not have to scourge up a few scrap/refined, resulting in slight pure overpay. There's also the cases of when a bot sells for item overpay, which wouldn't result in a valid sale to use if it's your only piece of evidence.

            There's also cases where the hat goes on SCM(charlotte and hnasuka do this often, wouldn't surprise me if more bots started doing it as well), which again wouldn't be valid.

            Or it might've just transferred to another alt/a main account, i've seen a few bots do this while looking for evidence.

            These might be uncommon factors when it comes to bots selling their stuff, but they're still factors that should be considered here.

            I'd be fine with these kind of suggestions if there was a bit more effort put into them honestly, placing an item history and calling it a day since it transfered to someone else just doesn't feel right to me, moreso when the sale cannot be traced at all.

              For sure - sales have to be actual sales in items to another user.

              https://backpack.tf/item/3341221183 - missing items / histories like this are not valid as it may have gone to a private alt or listed / sold on SCM.

              https://backpack.tf/item/5275096843 - another invalid sale that went to a warehouse bot.

              However, sales in items to another user should be fine. Overpay should be treated as it is with unusuals - capped by the pure b/o, so there should be no issue with trades involving items. And bulk sales should also be fine in situations involving bots as I mentioned earlier. In general, I would support these suggestions more than suggestions based on sellers / buyers alone. It has gotten harder and harder to find sales. I like to give the benefit of the doubt where possible, especially when the votes are positive and buyers / sellers in classifieds support.

                Both of you have valid points. Mindacos you have said so yourself that they are likely to sell @ the listed price and anything over would be capped. I highly doubt bots would sell elsewhere or sell on SCM, however I agree there is a slight possibility of that. Luckily there are 3 sales listed above and it's highly unlikely to have 3 sales that weren't from backpack.tf classifieds. I am raising with sales with explicitly shows that that is the common trading point.

                "I'd be fine with these kind of suggestions if there was a bit more effort put into them honestly" It's not like this was a quick-rush-together suggestion anyway, I take time and care to take the screenshot early and check that they actually sell for starters and sell with a good time. A sale after 1 week of listing is gonna be kinda useless. I also check daily the current listings to see if I need to make a range.

                Also the main reason why I do this is because I could easily make a suggestion raising with the buyers @ 12.44 However that isn't 5% and I can almost guarantee you'd close it! Hence why I wait and wait until I find sales. It's worked many many times before.

                Would you rather I did a <5% Change using buyers or >5% Change with Sales?

                  "I'd be fine with these kind of suggestions if there was a bit more effort put into them honestly" - I think that comment is unfair too. Even what you have here is a lot more than most non-unusual suggestions we get, so at least from my side, I appreciate it.

                  I will again caution you on the item histories. "it's highly unlikely to have 3 sales that weren't from backpack.tf classifieds." I don't think that comment is necessarily true, especially on marketable items. Could easily have been dumped on SCM. A lot of items sell more easily for more there. That's also how the history disappears. Still, it seems like you have one sale here.

          Size does matter ° ͜ʖ °
