Yo, but on a serious note, I want this hat to either get priced or have the sharker receive a temporary/permanent ban for obvious sharking. I'm tired of seeing people like this get off scott free, there needs to be some repurcussions in place to discourage people from doing this, it's honestly just so fucked up. This hat is also 1 of 1 and will likely stay this rare for a while, so this suggestion affects no one besides the buyer.

I appreciate the sentiment here, but you're all aware that this isn't getting accepted. Many would happily pay multiple times this price in a heartbeat so it's clearly nowhere close to the value of the hat. However, that alone is not enough to ban someone for sharking. Our guidelines are clear on this, we require definitive proof that the accused lied/misled/manipulated the seller in some manner in order to ban.

Joe trying to claim he got his unusual discounted because of his status. Honestly, I think shit like this should be treated like this situation. If this is the only recent sale with nothing to counter it, this should be accepted.

tbh this is never getting accepted, and even if it would it wouldn't in anyway really inhibit it being able to be sold for more. I guess it gets the message out, but this getting accepted to punish the sharker makes no sence because it wont hurt them. A forums post or something is probably better...

I believe that the reason things like these shouldn't be accepted is that, what if another one is unboxed.. This being priced so low would help people shark that new one, by telling the person "it is only 14 keys on bp.tf, here is a 25 key cancer hat for it."

The real issue is people abusing premium search to find dumb unboxers and shark them. A good punishment might be to ban sharkers from getting premium.

Well they're not dumb, they're just not as informed.

Tbh the real problem is that Backpack.tf and Steamrep don't treat sharking as scamming, even though in instances like this it is pretty damn clear it was a blatant scam. Honestly, if steamrep just counted sharking like they should, this idiot would be banned out of oblivion already and we wouldn't even need to have this debate. Expect a video about this coming soon :^)

This scam made me mad as hell too because of the tier of this hat.

Poor guy didn't know what it was worth, taking advantage of that should definitely be a bannable offense.

Literally the worst punishment you could get from sharking rn is a -trust on bp and a few accusing remarks on your steam profile, which get promptly deleted, when people who scam 10 key hats get their trading privileges ripped from them.

You had good proof ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Real shame that some people give great effort and time for small profit when expensive stuff are sharked by people, such as Party Queen, who are not even punished. Hope this suggestion gets accepted (most likely won't tho) so that there's a change for once.
